CITY OF VERONA MINUTES PUBLIC WORKS/SEWER & WATER COMMITTEE MONDAY, AUGUST 22, 2016 1. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Touchett at 5:04pm. 2. Roll Call: Present: Evan Touchett, Luke Diaz, Mac McGilvray. Also present: Theran Jacobson, Director of Public Works; Jeff Montpas, AECOM (City Engineer). 3. MOVED by McGilvray, seconded by Diaz, to approve the minutes of the July 25, 2016 meeting of the Public Works/Sewer and Water Committee. Motion carried 3-0. 4. MOVED by Touchett, seconded by McGilvray, to recommend approval of Addendum to the Amended Relocation order for N. Nine Mound Road. Motion carried 3-0. 5. MOVED by Touchett, seconded by Diaz, to recommend approval of professional services agreement with AECOM for Project 2016-119_Northern Lights and CTH PD Water Main Extension in amount of $14,800. Motion carried 3-0. 6. MOVED by Touchett, seconded by McGilvray, to recommend approval of Change Order No. 2 for Community Park and Park Lane Parking Lot Construction in amount of $6,489. Motion carried 3-0. 7. MOVED by McGilvray, seconded by Diaz, to recommend awarding contract for Construction of Downtown Streetscape Phase I to JP Cullen in amount of $562,332. Motion carried 3-0. 8. MOVED by Touchett, seconded by Diaz, to recommend approval of professional services agreement with H&H Industries for a Head Load study on the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) System at Senior Center in amount of $2,200. Motion carried 3-0. 9. Discussion regarding potential additional costs regarding widening of Old PB bridge to accommodate pedestrian safety with Refuge Island at Low Badger Mill Creek per request from Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Public works committee would support this additional cost to increase public safety at this crossing. Mr. Jacobson noted this would be placed in the Capital Improvement Program budget. 10.
