CITY OF VERONA MINUTES PUBLIC WORKS/SEWER & WATER COMMITTEE MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2017 1. The meeting was called to order by Mr. Touchett at 5:15pm. 2. Roll Call: Present: Evan Touchett, Luke Diaz. Also present: Theran Jacobson, Director of Public Works; Jeff Montpas, City Engineer, AECOM; Jeff Mikorski, City Administrator; Jessica Morrison, Suez. 3. MOVED by Diaz, seconded by Touchett, to approve the minutes of the September 11th, 2017 meeting of the Public Works/Sewer and Water Committee. Motion carried 2-0. 4. Mr. Jacobson introduced Ms. Morrison. Discussion of water tank maintenance, with presentation by Ms. Morrison. Mac McGilvray entered at 5:17pm. Mr. Touchett asked if well 5 as-grade reservoir can be placed in the program. Ms. Morrison and Mr. Jacobson noted this was discussed and can be placed into the program as needed. Mr. McGilvray noted we need to be more safe than sorry (proactive) with any maintenance activities for the water utility storage facilities. Ms. Morrison noted that Suez is fully insured with liability and that the agreement proposed is an annual contract with an automatic renewal. No action taken. 5. MOVED by McGilvray, seconded by Diaz, to recommend approval of Change Order No. 2 and closeout for Project ID 2015-104 Downtown Streetscape Stage I. Motion carried 3-0. 6. MOVED by Touchett, seconded by Diaz, to recommend approval of Relocation Order for transportation project plat 5796-10-00 and project plat 5796-10-03, Old PB Bridge contingent on Design Study Report approval. Motion carried 3-0. 7. MOVED by Touchett, seconded by Diaz, to recommend approval of Amendment No. 2 for design and permitting of Old PB Roadway Bridge with Ayers and Associates, in the amount not to exceed $12,177.58. Motion carried 3-0. 8. MOVED by McGilvray, seconded by Diaz, to recommend approval of amended intergovernmental agreement for final design of CTH M from Prairie Hill Road to Cross Country Road. Motion carried 3-0. 9. MOVED by Touchett, seconded by Diaz, to recommend approval of Amendment No. 1 for professional services agreement with MSA for professional land acquisition services regarding Project 2016-124_CTH PD, in the amount not to exceed $7,000.00. Motion carried 3-0. Mr. McGilvray noted to look into the paving of Woods Road under this contract for the section of roadway that was not completed this past summer. 10. MOVED by McGilvray, seconded by Diaz, to recommend approval of land use agreement with Integrity Grading and Excavating. Motion carried 3-0. 11. Discussion of issues with Old PB pedestrian bridge to County Gardens. No action taken. 12. MOVED by Touchett, seconded by Diaz, to adjourn at 6:06pm. Motion carried 3-0.
