CITY OF VERONA MINUTES PUBLIC WORKS/SEWER & WATER COMMITTEE MONDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2017 1. The meeting was called to order by Mr. Touchett at 5:19pm. 2. Roll Call: Present: Evan Touchett, Luke Diaz. Also present: Theran Jacobson, Director of Public Works; Jeff Mikorski, City Administrator. Jess Billmeyer, Jeff Montpas, Derek Salomonsen and Carla Fischer, all of AECOM. Mac McGilvray, excused. 3. MOVED by Touchett, seconded by Diaz, to approve the minutes of the September 25th, 2017 meeting of the Public Works/Sewer and Water Committee. Motion carried 2-0. 4. Mr. Jacobson introduced Mr. Billmeyer. Discussion of traffic impact analysis (TIA) for Liberty Business Park and Verona Technology Park. No action taken. • Mr. Touchett asked what type of land-use predicts the most trips on traffic projections; Mr. Billmeyer responded that retail produces the most trips. • Mr. Touchett asked to note the type of pedestrian accommodations that would be present near American Way and CTH PB. Mr. Billmeyer noted sidewalk would be placed along PB but constructability will need to be evaluated in future. • Mr. Billmeyer noted that if land-uses change within the analyzed area the TIA can be re-evaluated if necessary. • Mr. Touchett had concerns about the USH 18/151 bridge for the Whalen Road underpass. Do we need to rebuild the bridges? Mr. Jacobson noted we would do a preliminary engineering alternative to determine what solutions are feasible to avoid potential impact to the bridges. 5.
