On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to adopt Agenda as amended. The motion was adopted

Ms. Stacey Massey, of the Southern Cultural Heritage Center came before the
Board to inform the public of the upcoming events at the Southern Cultural
Heritage Center for the month of July 2014 and invited the public to attend.
The Mayor and Aldermen thanked Ms. Massey for attending the meeting.

FM and Newstalk 1490 WVBG AM for Vicksburg High and Warren
Central High School Games and Red Carpet Bowl (August and
September 2014)

Mayor Flaggs stated that purchasing an advertisement from Lendsi Radio, LLC,
V105.5 FM and Newstalk 1490 WVBG AM for Vicksburg High and Warren Central
High School Games and Red Carpet Bowl will bring into favorable notice the
opportunities, possibilities and resources of the City of Vicksburg and will be
helpful toward advancing the moral, financial and other interest of the City of
Vicksburg.
On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, and
unanimously passed, The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg approved
the purchase of radio ads from Lendsi Radio, LLC, V105.5 FM and Newstalk 1490
WVBG AM for Vicksburg High and Warren Central High School Games and Red
Carpet Bow (August and September 2014) in the amount of $1,180.00. The

cutting and cleaning lots and Adopt the following Resolutions establishing
Special Assessments. The attached Letters (Statements) and Resolutions were

Victor Gray-Lewis, Director of Community Development, came before the Board
to discuss and request permission to proceed to cut, clean and demolish the
attached properties.
On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the
Mayor and Aldermen voted to declare the foregoing properties a public health
and safety hazard and authorize the Director of Community Development to
proceed to cut, clean and demolish structures with all charges incurred to be
assessed against the property owners. These properties were granted the
following: 808 Bowmar, PPIN 16688; owned by Marlene Pittman-Fuller (90 day

Executive Session:
Alderman Mayfield moved the Mayor and Aldermen go into a closed meeting to
determine if the Board should go into executive session. The motion was
seconded by Alderman Thompson. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Alderman
Mayfield, Alderman Thompson. None voting nay, the motion was unanimously
adopted.
The Mayor and Aldermen discuss whether or not they should go into executive
session. Alderman Mayfield moved to go into executive session to discuss

adopted.

discuss Personnel Action Forms for New Hire in the Police Department (1), Safety

Youth - Human Resource (1); Permission to Post for Asphalt Laborer in the Street

Community Resource Officer at $10.00 per hour in the Police Department.

B. ID-14-0238 New Hire - Safety (1)
On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the

Safety Director at $35,000.00 annually in the Safety Department. The motion
was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

C. ID-14-0233 Transfer - Community Development (1)
On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the
Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Personnel Matters for Transfer
Operator at $10.00 per hour in the Water Treatment Department to Permit
Technician in the Community Development Department. The motion was
adopted unanimously by the following vote:

D. ID-14-0234 Transfer - Police (1)
On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the
Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Personnel Matters for Transfer for
Part-Time Court Clerk at $9.00 per hour to Community Resource Officer at
$10.00 in the Police Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by
the following vote:

E. ID-14-0239 Pay Adjustment - Summer Youth - Central Mississippi (1)
On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the
Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve Personnel Matters for Pay Adjustment

for Summer Youth Worker - Central Mississippi Her time was mixed up with
another summer youth. She was underpaid for 20.47 hours for a total of
$168.84 being due and payable to her. The motion was adopted unanimously
by the following vote:

F. ID-14-0240 Pay Adjustment - Summer Youth - Human Resource (1)
On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the
Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve Personnel Matters for Pay Adjustment
- Summer Youth - Human Resource was overpaid $168.84 because of a mix
up in hours with another summer youth. Balance due and owing to the City
is $168.84 The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

G. ID-14-0235 Permission to Post - Asphalt Laborer in Street Department (1)
On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the
