Approve Application for Complimentary Use of Vicksburg City Auditorium from Vicksburg Warren School District for its Annual Convocation for all employees On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to adopt Agenda as amended. The Mayor and Aldermen thanked Ms. Massey for attending the meeting. C. ID-14-0215 Approve request for radio sponsorship from Lendsi Radio, LLC V105.5 FM and Newstalk 1490 WVBG AM for Vicksburg High and Warren Central High School Games and Red Carpet Bowl (August and September 2014) Attachments: Lendsi Radio, LLC Mayor Flaggs stated that purchasing an advertisement from Lendsi Radio, LLC, V105.5 FM and Newstalk 1490 WVBG AM for Vicksburg High and Warren Central High School Games and Red Carpet Bowl will bring into favorable notice the opportunities, possibilities and resources of the City of Vicksburg and will be helpful toward advancing the moral, financial and other interest of the City of Vicksburg. On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, and unanimously passed, The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg approved the purchase of radio ads from Lendsi Radio, LLC, V105.5 FM and Newstalk 1490 WVBG AM for Vicksburg High and Warren Central High School Games and Red Carpet Bow (August and September 2014) in the amount of $1,180.00. On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to declare the foregoing properties a public health and safety hazard and authorize the Director of Community Development to proceed to cut, clean and demolish structures with all charges incurred to be assessed against the property owners. ID-14-0238 New Hire - Safety (1) On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Personnel Matters for New Hire of Safety Director at $35,000.00 annually in the Safety Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Thompson C. ID-14-0233 Transfer - Community Development (1) On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Personnel Matters for Transfer Operator at $10.00 per hour in the Water Treatment Department to Permit Technician in the Community Development Department. ID-14-0234 Transfer - Police (1) On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Personnel Matters for Transfer for Part-Time Court Clerk at $9.00 per hour to Community Resource Officer at $10.00 in the Police Department. She was underpaid for 20.47 hours for a total of $168.84 being due and payable to her. ID-14-0240 Pay Adjustment - Summer Youth - Human Resource (1) On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve Personnel Matters for Pay Adjustment - Summer Youth - Human Resource was overpaid $168.84 because of a mix up in hours with another summer youth. Balance due and owing to the City is $168.84 The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Thompson G. ID-14-0235 Permission to Post - Asphalt Laborer in Street Department (1) On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the request to Post for Asphalt Laborer in Street Department (1).
