Additive Alternative Bid ($61,000.00)

and Aldermen voted to accept the recommendation from Allen & Hoshall to
award sealed proposal and contract for the Installation of New Lime Slakers at
the Water Treatment Plant to Hemphill Construction Company, Inc. of Florence,
MS in the amount of $309,000.00 which consists of the Base Bid ($248,000.00)
and the Additive Alternative Bid ($61,000.00). The motion was adopted
unanimously by the following vote:

Run/Walk

and Aldermen voted to approve request from RiverFest, Inc. regarding 1st
Riverfest 5K Run/Walk for permission to host the 1st Riverfest 5K run/walk on
Saturday, April 18, 2015 in Downtown Vicksburg and assistance from the City's
Traffic, Police, Community Services, Building Maintenance, ROW and Street
Departments. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

E. ID-15-0247 Alderman Mayfield recused himself from the Board Meeting.
Approve request from The Salvation Army in the amount of $1,500.00 to
support these three (3) initiatives during 2015:

2. STEM (Science,Technology, Engineering and Math) Program
3. Kicks for Hope Soccer Camp

Alderman Mayfield recused himself from the Board Meeting.
On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Mayor Flaggs, the Mayor and
Alderman voted to approve allocation of funds in the amount of $1,500.00 to The
Salvation Army to help support these three (3) initiatives during 2015: Book Bag
Project; STEM (Science,Technology, Engineering and Math) Program; Kicks for
Hope Soccer Camp. The City is authorized pursuant to Sec. 21-19-65 of the
Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended, for matching funds for social and
community service programs and the City is matching these funds. The motion
was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

to discuss and request permission to proceed to cut, clean and demolish the
attached properties:
On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to declare the foregoing properties to be a public menace to
the public health, safety & welfare of the community and authorize the Director of
Community Development to proceed to cut, clean and demolish structures with
all charges incurred to be assessed against the property owners.

Executive Session:
Alderman Mayfield moved the Mayor and Aldermen go into a closed meeting to
determine if the Board should go into executive session. The motion was
seconded by Alderman Thompson. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Alderman
Mayfield, Alderman Thompson. None voting nay, the motion was unanimously
adopted.
The Mayor and Aldermen discuss whether or not they should go into executive
session. Alderman Mayfield moved to go into executive session to discuss
Personnel Action Forms for New Hire in the Community Development
Department (1), Retro-Pay Adjustments in the Police Department (2); Suspension
in the Street Department (1), Animal Control Department (1); Termination in the
Gas Department (1); Permission to Post in the Parks and Recreation Maintenance
Department (4), Sewer Department (1), Gas Department (1). The motion
seconded by Alderman Thompson, and upon vote being taken, the following
voting aye: Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, Alderman Thompson. None voting
nay, the motion was adopted unanimously.
The Mayor and Aldermen announced they would go into executive session to
discuss Personnel Action Forms for New Hire in the Community Development
Department (1), Retro-Pay Adjustments in the Police Department (2); Suspension
in the Street Department (1), Animal Control Department (1); Termination in the
Gas Department (1); Permission to Post in the Parks and Recreation Maintenance
Department (4), Sewer Department (1), Gas Department (1). The Mayor and
Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg went into executive session to discuss
Personnel Action Forms for New Hire in the Community Development
Department (1), Retro-Pay Adjustments in the Police Department (2); Suspension
in the Street Department (1), Animal Control Department (1); Termination in the

Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve New Hire for Code Enforcement at
$16.82 per hour in the Community Development Department. The motion was
adopted unanimously by the following vote:

B. ID-15-0267 Retro Pay Adjustments - Police Department (2)
On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the
Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve Retro Pay Adjustments for Sergeant
for $.20 Longevity Pay in the amount of $16.30 for pay period of February
4-17, 2015. Sergeant/Watch Commander for $1.00 Longevity Pay in the
