and Aldermen voted to approve the request from Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers
Motorcycle Club of Jackson to block Mulberry at Clay, South Street at Mulberry,
and Veto at Mulberry. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following

and Aldermen voted to accept Recommendation of Allen & Hoshall to award
Sealed bid and contract for Stormwater Pump Station Rehabilitation and

Ms. Stacey Massey, of the Southern Cultural Heritage Center, came before the
Board to inform the public of the upcoming events at the Southern Cultural
Heritage Center for the month of June 2015 and invited the public to attend.
The Mayor and Aldermen thanked Ms. Massey for attending the meeting.

On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, and

the purchase of a half page ad from King Solomon Baptist Church for its 5th
Annual Family Empowerment Weekend Souvenir Booklet in the amount of
$75.00. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

On motion of Mayor Flaggs, seconded by Alderman Thompson, and unanimously
passed, The Mayor and Alderman of the City of Vicksburg approved the
sponsorship of a golf hole ad from Warren County Children's Shelter Golf
Championship in the amount of $100.00. The motion was adopted unanimously

Issuance of Work Order. The motion was adopted unanimously by the

Executive Session:
Alderman Thompson moved the Mayor and Aldermen go into a closed meeting to
determine if the Board should go into executive session. The motion was
seconded by Alderman Mayfield. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield,
Alderman Thompson. None voting nay, the motion was unanimously adopted.
The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether or not they should go into executive
session. Alderman Thompson moved to go into executive session to discuss
Personnel Action Forms for New Hires in the MDOT Summer Youth (10),
Recreation/Tennis Department (1), Water and Gas Administration (2), Summer
Youth (1); Department Transfers in the Summer Youth (2); Promotions in the Fire
Department (2); Interim Promotion in the Animal Control Department (1); Pay
Adjustment in the Fire Department (2), Recreation/Jackson Street (3);
Resignations in the Police Department (2); Retirement in the Public Works
Department (1); Suspension in the Street Department (1), Police Department (1);
Terminations in the Gas Department (1); Permission to Post in the Gas
Department (1); Pay Adjustments in the Summer Youth (2). The motion was
seconded by Alderman Mayfield, and upon vote being taken, the following voting
aye: Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, Alderman Thompson. None voting nay,
the motion was unanimously adopted.
The Mayor and Aldermen announced they would go into executive session to
discuss Personnel Action Forms for New Hires in the MDOT Summer Youth (10),
Recreation/Tennis Department (1), Water and Gas Administration (2), Summer
Youth (1); Department Transfers in the Summer Youth (2); Promotions in the Fire
Department (2); Interim Promotion in the Animal Control Department (1); Pay
Adjustment in the Fire Department (2), Recreation/Jackson Street (3);
Resignations in the Police Department (2); Retirement in the Public Works
Department (1); Suspension in the Street Department (1), Police Department (1);

Youth at $7.25 per hour; two (2) MDOT Crew Leaders at $12.00 per hour in the
MDOT Summer Youth Program. The motion was adopted unanimously by the
following vote:

B. ID-15-0664 New Hire - Recreation/Tennis Department (1)
On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the

Youth at $7.25 per hour in the Police Street Ball Program to Summer Youth at
$7.25 per hour in the Central Mississippi Program. Summer Youth at $8.00
per hour in the Central Mississippi Program to Summer Youth at $8.00 per
hour in the Police Street Ball Program. The motion was adopted unanimously
by the following vote:

Captain I at $12.97 per hour in the Fire Department. The motion was adopted

that he was sick and has not called in or reported to work since. The motion
