The City Clerk presented the June 2015 Detailed Budget Report for Approval. ID-15-0838 Alderman Mayfield recused himself from the Board Meeting Approve Claims Docket The City Clerk presented the Docket of Claims numbering 127659 through 127879; 778 through 781. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 2- Mayor Flaggs, and Alderman Thompson Recused: 1- Alderman Mayfield Alderman Mayfield returned to the Board Meeting Executive Session: Alderman Thompson moved the Mayor and Aldermen go into a closed meeting to determine if the Board should go into executive session. The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether or not they should go into executive session. Alderman Thompson moved to go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for Resignation in the Police Department (1); Department Transfer in the Landscape Department (1); Suspensions in the Sewer Department (3); Termination in the Summer Youth - Southward Alderman's Office (1). The motion was seconded by Alderman Mayfield, and upon vote being taken, the following voting aye: Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Thompson, Alderman Mayfield. None voting nay, the motion was adopted unanimously. The Mayor and Aldermen announced they would go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for Resignation in the Police Department (1); Department Transfer in the Landscape Department (1); Suspensions in the Sewer Department (3); Termination in the Summer Youth - Southward Alderman's Office (1). The Mayor and Aldermen are now in executive session. Those present at the executive session were Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Thompson, Alderman Mayfield, Nancy Thomas - City Attorney, Walter W. ID-15-0865 Resignation - Police Department (1) On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to accept Resignation from a Crossing Guard in the Police Department, effective July 15, 2015. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Thompson B. ID-15-0875 Department Transfer - Landscape Department (1) On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve Department Transfer from Seasonal Laborer at $7.25 per hour in the Parks & Recreation Department to Labor at $7.25 per hour in the Landscape Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Thompson C. ID-15-0866 Suspensions - Sewer Department (3) On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to deny ten (10) day Suspension for an Equipment Operator for violating the City's Personnel Rules and Regulations Policy, City of Vicksburg Page 6 Printed on 10/21/2015 Board of Mayor and Aldermen Minutes - Final July 24, 2015 Rule 4.1(g). The Mayor and Alderman voted to approve Suspension for a Laborer for ten (10) days, for violating the City's Personnel Rules and Regulations Policy, Rule 4.1(g); and Laborer for five (5) days violating the City's Attendance Policy in the Sewer Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Thompson D. ID-15-0867 Termination - Summer Youth - Southward Alderman's Office (1) On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve Termination for Summer Youth Worker in the Southward Alderman's Office. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Thompson E. ID-15-1085 Motion to Come out of Executive Session and Approve On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to come out of Executive Session and Approve everything done in Executive Session.
