Develop a Heritage Walking Trail Network
On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to adopt the Agenda as amended. The motion was adopted
unanimously by the following vote:

the office of City Clerk: Proof of publication of legal advertisements was
presented and ordered filed.

On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to accept and refer the foregoing bids to the Purchasing
Department and Various Departments for review and recommendation back to
the Board for award. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following

B. ID-15-1086 Approve request for sponsorship from Vicksburg-Warren County Board

Mayor Flaggs stated that purchasing an advertisement from Vicksburg-Warren
County Board of Realtors, Cannon Toyota of Vicksburg, and Nevada Bob's Golf
Shop will bring into favorable notice the opportunities, possibilities and
resources of the City of Vicksburg and will be helpful toward advancing the
moral, financial and other interest of the City of Vicksburg.
On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, and
unanimously passed, The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg approved
the purchase of a hole sponsorship ad from Vicksburg-Warren County Board of
Realtors, Cannon Toyota of Vicksburg, and Nevada Bob's Golf Shop in the
amount of $100.00. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

C. ID-15-1095 Approve request for advertisement from The Elite Civic Club of

Mayor Flaggs stated that purchasing an advertisement from The Elite Civic Club

Executive Session:
Alderman Thompson moved the Mayor and Aldermen go into a closed meeting to
determine if the Board should go into executive session. The motion was
seconded by Alderman Mayfield. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Alderman
Thompson, Alderman Mayfield. None voting nay, the motion was unanimously
adopted.
The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether or not they should go into executive
session. Alderman Thompson moved to go into executive session to discuss
Personnel Action Forms for New Hire in the Fire Department (1); Pay Adjustment
in the Police Department (1), Gas Department (1); Promotions in the Gas
Department (2); Resignation in the City Court (1); Title Changes in the Police
Department (2); Retirement in the Police Department (1); Correction of
Employment Date in the Fire Department (1), Police Department (1); Discuss
Personnel Matter in the Street Department (1), Police Department (1); Permission
to Post in the Building Maintenance Department. The motion was seconded by
Alderman Mayfield, and upon vote being taken the following voting aye: Mayor
Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, Alderman Thompson. The motion was adopted
unanimously.
The Mayor and Aldermen announced they would go into executive session to
discuss Personnel Action Forms for New Hire in the Fire Department (1); Pay
Adjustment in the Police Department (1), Gas Department (1); Promotions in the
Gas Department (2); Resignation in the City Court (1); Title Changes in the Police
Department (2); Retirement in the Police Department (1); Correction of

A. ID-15-1096 New Hire - Fire Department (1)
On motion of Mayor Pro-Tem, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor
Pro-Tem and Alderman voted to approve New Hire for Paramedic I at $11.04
per hour in the Fire Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the
following vote:

B. ID-15-1097 Pay Adjustment - Police Department (1)
On motion of Mayor Pro-Tem Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield,
the Mayor Pro-Tem and Alderman voted to approve Pay Adjustment for
Sergeant / Watch Commander from $22.00 per hour to $22.20 per hour in the
Police Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following
vote:

C. ID-15-1110 Pay Adjustment - Gas Department (1)
On motion of Mayor Pro-Tem Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield,
the Mayor Pro-Tem and Alderman voted to approve Pay Adjustment for Gas
Locator from $9.00 per hour to $10.50 per hour in the Gas Department.
Temporary Increase in pay .50 per hour for on call 24/7 and $1.00 increase
until the other gas locator is able to return to work. The motion was adopted
unanimously by the following vote:

D. ID-15-1098 Promotions - Gas Department (2)
On motion of Mayor Pro-Tem Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield,
the Mayor Pro-Tem and Alderman voted to approve Promotions for Gas
Serviceman at $8.74 per hour to Foreman at $9.74 per hour; Laborer at $8.00
per hour to Gas Locator at $9.00 per hour and an additional .50 per hour
when on call in the Gas Department. The motion was adopted unanimously
by the following vote:

E. ID-15-1099 Resignation - City Court (1)
On motion of Mayor Pro-Tem Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield,

Court Clerk in the City Court Department. The motion was adopted

II in the Police Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the

H. ID-15-1102 Correction of Employment Date - Fire Department (1)
On motion of Mayor Pro-Tem Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield,

Employment Date for Paramedic I from September 08, 2015 to September 21,
2015, in the Fire Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the

I. ID-15-1103 Correction of Employment Date - Police Department (1)
On motion of Mayor Pro-Tem Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield,

Employment Date for Crossing Guard from September 08, 2015 to September
21, 2015, in the Police Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by
the following vote:

J. ID-15-1104 Discuss Personnel Matter - Street Department (1)
On motion of Mayor Pro-Tem Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield,
the Mayor Pro-Tem and Alderman held a discussion regarding a Zero Turn
Mower Operator who owes money to the City and voted to authorize the City
Clerk to take last pay check to recover the cost in the Street Department ..

K. ID-15-1105 Discuss Personnel Matter - Police Department (1)
On motion of Mayor Pro-Tem Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield,
the Mayor Pro-Tem and Alderman held a discussion regarding a Police
Officer who owes money to the City and voted to authorize the City Clerk to
take last pay check to recover the debt owed in the Police Department. The
motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

L. ID-15-1106 Permission to Post - Custodian - Building Maintenance Department

On motion of Mayor Pro-Tem Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield,

Custodian in the Building Maintenance Department. The motion was adopted
unanimously by the following vote:
