Mayor Flaggs stated that purchasing an advertisement from Vicksburg Blues
Society, Inc. will bring into favorable notice the opportunities, possibilities and
resources of the City of Vicksburg and will be helpful toward advancing the

of $4,000.00. Funded from the Mayor's Discretionary Fund. The motion was

The City Clerk presented the Docket of Claims numbering 120395 through

On motion of Mayor Flaggs seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor and
Alderman voted to approve Claims Docket. The motion was adopted
unanimously by the following vote:

Alderman Mayfield returned to the Board Meeting
Executive Session:
Alderman Thompson moved the Mayor and Aldermen go into a closed meeting to
determine if the Board should go into executive session. The motion was
seconded by Alderman Mayfield. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Alderman
Thompson, Alderman Mayfield. None voting nay, the motion was unanimously
adopted.
The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether or not they should go into executive
session. Alderman Mayfield moved to go into executive session to discuss
Personnel Action Forms for Longevity pay in the Police Department (1),
Community Development Department (1); New Hires in the Fire Department (7);
Pay Adjustment in the Fire Department (1), Police Department (1); Resignation in
the Water and Gas Administration (1); Suspension in the Fire Department (1);
Termination in the Street Department (1); Permission to Post for GIS/CAD
Technician in the Public Works Department (1). The motion was seconded by
Alderman Thompson, and upon vote being taken, the following voting aye: Mayor
Flaggs, Alderman Thompson, Alderman Mayfield. The motion was adopted
unanimously.
The Mayor and Aldermen announced they would go into executive session to
discuss Personnel Action Forms for Longevity pay in the Police Department (1),
Community Development Department (1); New Hires in the Fire Department (7);
Pay Adjustment in the Fire Department (1), Police Department (1); Resignation in
the Water and Gas Administration (1); Suspension in the Fire Department (1);
Termination in the Street Department (1); Permission to Post for GIS/CAD
Technician in the Public Works Department (1).
The Mayor and Aldermen are now in executive session.

Personnel Matters:
A. ID-15-1510 Longevity - Police Department (1)
On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Mayor Flaggs, the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to approve Longevity Pay for Secretary II from $13.79 per
hour to $13.88 per hour in the Police Department, for twenty (20) years of
service. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

B. ID-15-1509 Longevity - Community Development Department (1)
On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Mayor Flaggs, the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to approve Longevity Pay for Director from $34.71 per
hour to $34.79 per hour in the Community Development Department, for ten
(10) years of service. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following
vote:

C. ID-15-1493 New Hires - Fire Department (7)
On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Mayor Flaggs, the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to approve New Hires for seven (7) Firefighter I's at $8.70
per hour in the Fire Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by

and Aldermen voted to approve Pay Adjustment for Lieutenant III from $12.01
per hour to Lieutenant V at $12.54 per hour in the Fire Department. The
motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

E. ID-15-1503 Pay Adjustment - Police Department (1)
On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Mayor Flaggs, the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to approve Pay Adjustment Police Officer from $17.90
per hour to Acting Traffic Commander at $18.65 per hour in the Police
Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

F. ID-15-1496 Resignation - Water and Gas Administration (1)
On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Mayor Flaggs, the Mayor

Gas Administration, effective December 30, 2015. The motion was adopted
unanimously by the following vote:

On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Mayor Flaggs, the Mayor

violating the Vicksburg Fire Department SOG 12.1.75 (2nd offense) in the Fire
Department, . The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

H. ID-15-1498 Termination - Street Department (1)
On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Mayor Flaggs, the Mayor
