Ms. Stacey Massey, of the Southern Cultural Heritage Center, came before the
Board to inform the public of the upcoming events at the Southern Cultural
Heritage Center for the month of June 2017 and invited the public to attend.
The Mayor and Alderman thanked Ms. Massey for attending the meeting.

Members of Leadership Vicksburg came before the Mayor and Alderman and
discussed building a dog park next to the Vicksburg Airport on Hwy 61 South

On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Mayor Flaggs, and unanimously
passed, The Mayor and Alderman of the City of Vicksburg approved the purchase
of a full page ad from DBR Publishing Co. for Vicksburg and Warren Central High
Schools 2017 Football Programs in the amount of $560.00. The motion was

all charges incurred to be assessed against the property owners. Along with the

Partnership in Building a Response to the Opioid Crisis. The motion was
adopted unanimously by the following vote:

Executive Session:
Alderman Mayfield moved the Mayor and Alderman go into a closed meeting to
determine if the Board should go into executive session. The motion was
seconded by Mayor Flaggs. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield. None
voting nay, the motion was unanimously adopted.
The Mayor and Alderman discussed whether or not they should go into executive
session. Mayor Flaggs moved to go into executive session to discuss Personnel
Action Forms for New Hire for Recreation/City Pool (1); Resignation in the Fire
Department (1); Pay Adjustment in the Fire Department (1); Department Transfer
in the Police Department (1); Suspension in the Water Maintenance Department
(1); Termination in the Gas Department (1). The motion was seconded by
Alderman Mayfield, and upon vote being taken, the following voting aye: Mayor
Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield. The motion was adopted unanimously.
The Mayor and Alderman announced they would go into executive session to
discuss Personnel Action Forms for New Hire for Recreation/City Pool (1);
Resignation in the Fire Department (1); Pay Adjustment in the Fire Department
(1); Department Transfer in the Police Department (1); Suspension in the Water
Maintenance Department (1); Termination in the Gas Department (1).
The Mayor and Alderman are now in executive session.

Alderman voted to approve New Hire for Lifeguard at $7.75 per hour in
Recreation/City Pool. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following
