The City is authorized pursuant to Sec. 17-3-1 and 17-3-3 of the Mississippi Code of 1972. ID-18-0762 Approve Claims Docket The City Clerk presented the Docket of Claims numbering 145884 through 145905. On motion of Mayor Flaggs, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve Claims Docket. The motion was seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, Alderman Monsour, Jr. None voting nay, the motion was unanimously adopted. The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether or not they should go into executive session. Alderman Mayfield moved to go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for New Hire in the Building Maintenance Department (1), Court Services Department (1), Water Maintenance Department (1); Pay Adjustment in the IT Department (1), Police Department (1); Retro Pay in the Police Department (1); Resignation in the Street Department (1), Summer Youth Program - Human Resource (1). The motion was seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. and upon vote being taken, the following voting aye: Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, Alderman Monsour, Jr. The motion was unanimously adopted. The Mayor and Aldermen announced they would go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for New Hire in the Building Maintenance Department (1), Court Services Department (1), Water Maintenance Department (1); Pay Adjustment in the IT Department (1), Police Department (1); Retro Pay in the Police Department (1); Resignation in the Street Department (1), Summer Youth Program - Human Resource (1). The Mayor and Aldermen are now in executive session. Those present at the executive session were Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, Alderman Monsour, Jr., Nancy Thomas - City Attorney, Walter W. ID-18-0774 New Hire - Building Maintenance Department (1) On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the New Hire for Director at $55,000.00 annually in the Building Maintenance Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. B. ID-18-0775 New Hire - Court Services (1) On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve New Hire for Deputy Court Clerk at $11.00 per hour in Court Services. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. C. ID-18-0776 New Hire - Water Maintenance Department (1) On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve New Hire for Foreman at $9.00 per hour in the Water Maintenance Department.
