Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order Invocation was given by Mayor George Flaggs, Jr. Pledge of Allegiance was led by Alderman Michael A. Mayfield, Sr. 2. Roll Call Also Present: Walterine Langford, Associate City Attorney Walter W. Osborne, Jr., City Clerk Tasha W. Jordan, Deputy City Clerk Present: 2 - Mayor George Flaggs Jr. Alderman Michael A. Mayfield Sr. Absent: 1 - Alderman Alex J. Monsour Jr. 3. Board Comments: The City of Vicksburg's Fire Department presented a check in the amount of $1,700.00 to Muscular Dystrophy for the Fill The Boot Campaign 4. Adopt Agenda Mayor Flaggs called the meeting to order. On motion of Mayor Flaggs, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Alderman voted to open the meeting. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 2- Mayor Flaggs, and Alderman Mayfield Absent: 1- Alderman Monsour Jr. A. ID-18-1275 Presentation of Check from ESG Eddie Busby of ESG Operations, Inc. presented the City of Vicksburg with a check in the amount of $17,004.82 for unused Maintenance Funds at the Water Treatment Plant Routine Agenda: A. ID-18-1256 Adopt Resolution Setting Downtown Tax Rate Attachments: Resolution - Downtown Tax District On motion of Mayor Flaggs, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Alderman voted to adopt the Resolution Setting Downtown Tax Rate. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 2- Mayor Flaggs, and Alderman Mayfield Absent: 1- Alderman Monsour Jr. Enactment No: RES 2016-324 B. ID-18-1257 Adopt Tax Levy Order Attachments: Tax Levy On motion of Mayor Flaggs, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Alderman voted to adopt the Tax Levy Order for FY2018. ID-18-1258 Adopt Budget and Authorize Appropriations Attachments: 2018-2019 BUDGET On motion of Mayor Flaggs, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Alderman voted to adopt the 2018-2019 Budget and Authorize Appropriations . The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 2- Mayor Flaggs, and Alderman Mayfield Absent: 1- Alderman Monsour Jr. D. ID-18-1259 Approve Vicksburg-Tallulah Airport Budget On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Mayor Flaggs, the Mayor and Alderman voted to approve the Vicksburg-Tallulah Airport Budget for FY 2018. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 2- Mayor Flaggs, and Alderman Mayfield Absent: 1- Alderman Monsour Jr. E. ID-18-1272 Approve appointment of Bertram Hayes-Davis to the Board of Architectural Review to fill the vacated position of Dorethea "Charlie" Gholson On motion of Mayor Flaggs, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Alderman voted to approve appointment of Bertram Hayes-Davis to the Board of Architectural Review to fill the vacated position of Dorethea "Charlie" Gholson. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 2- Mayor Flaggs, and Alderman Mayfield Absent: 1- Alderman Monsour Jr. Adjournment There being no further business appearing, on motion of Mayor Flaggs, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, and unanimously passed.
