ID-19-0738 Pay Adjustment - Ambulance Department (1) On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustment of a Captain Paramedic III from $16.95 per hour to a Captain Paramedic I at $16.30 per hour in the Ambulance Department. Pay adjustment includes longevity pay of .25 cents for twenty (20) years of service. Employee was demoted to probationary status from an incident which occurred on June 1, 2019. ID-19-0739 Pay Adjustments - Fire Department (2) On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve Pay Adjustments of a Captain V+ from $16.67 per hour to $16.93 per hour, effective July 3, 2019. Captain may receive one (1) raise per year after completing fifth tier, with satisfactory evaluation and physical agility test. Increase also includes twenty (20) years of longevity pay; a Firefighter/Ambulance III from $11.09 per hour to a Firefighter IV to $10.70 per hour, effective July 3, 2019. Employee has met requirements for increase in Tier Pay System, but is no longer assigned to an ambulance in the Fire Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. C. ID-19-0740 Pay Adjustments - Police Department (6) On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve Pay Adjustments of a Police Officer from $16.69 per hour to $17.84 per hour, effective July 3, 2019. Officer is entitled to an additional $1.15 per hour (education incentive) for a Bachelor of Science - Legal Studies from (Univ. of Maryland); an Officer from $15.90 per hour to $17.12 per hour. On October 15, 2018, Officer received .43 cents for Bachelor of Arts degree. Officer has a BA in Criminal Justice and is eligible for a full $1.65 enhanced education incentive. Officer is due the difference of $1.22 per hour for his BA in Criminal Justice, effective July 3, 2019; a Sergeant from $20.87 per hour to $21.07 per hour. Officer is entitled to an additional .20 cents per hour increase for seven (7) years of service, effective July 2, 2019; a Patrol Officer from $15.97 per hour to $16.17 per hour. This action is to rescind and correct the PAF approved by the BOMA on July 1, 2019. The corrected current hourly rate should be $15.97 per hour, not $15.50 per hour. The new hourly rate of pay should be $16.17 that includes the increase of .20 cents per hour for seven (7) years of service, effective July 2, 2019; a Front Desk Clerk from $10.28 per hour to Front Desk/TAC Officer at $11.03 per hour, effective July 3, 2019. Employee is entitled to an increase due to him serving as a Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC); a Front Dest/TAC Officer from $10.85 per hour to a Secretary II at $10.10 per hour, effective July 3, 2019. Employee is transferring from the front desk position to a secretary II in the Narcotics Department. The removal of .75 cents TAC officer pay is due to employee no longer serving as TAC Officer in the Police Department. ID-19-0741 Longevity Pay - Inspection Department (1) On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve Longevity Pay of a Housing Director from $20.30 per hour to $20.39 per hour. Employee is entitled to .09 cents longevity pay for five (5) years of service in the Inspection Department, effective July 2, 2019. Employee is entitled to .09 cents longevity pay for five (5) years of service in the Water Distribution Department, effective July 9, 2019. ID-19-0744 Termination - Community Service (1) On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Termination of a Foreman in the Community Service Department, effective July 1, 2019. Employee violated the City of Vicksburg Arrest Policy. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. G.
