On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., and unanimously passed, the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg approved the purchase of advertisement from the MS Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy for the 7th Annual MS AABE Scholarship Golf Outing in the amount of $600.00. ID-19-0867 Discuss Southern Cultural Heritage Center Updates Ms. Stacey Mahoney, of the Southern Cultural Heritage Center, came before the Board to inform the public of the upcoming events at the Southern Cultural Heritage Center for the month of August 2019 and invited the public to attend. The Mayor and Aldermen thanked Ms. Mahoney for attending the meeting. C. ID-19-0868 Discuss Vicksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau Updates Ms. Laura Beth Strickland, of the Vicksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau came before the Board to inform the public of the upcoming events at the Vicksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau for the month of August 2019 and invited the public to attend. The Mayor and Aldermen thanked Ms. Laura Beth Strickland for attending the meeting. D. ID-19-0900 Adopt an Ordinance to Amend Ordinance 71-8, as Amended, The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Vicksburg, Mississippi by Amending Definitions to Section 201 Definitions, Amending Section 406.10-2(12) to Allow Shooting Ranges as a Permitted Use by Special Exception in the C-4 Zone and Amending Section 406.15-5(6) Attachments: Ordinance Shooting Range On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to adopt an Ordinance to Amend Ordinance 71-8, as Amended, The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Vicksburg, Mississippi by Amending Definitions to Section 201 Definitions, Amending Section 406.10-2(12) to Allow Shooting Ranges as a Permitted Use by Special Exception in the C-4 Zone and Amending Section 406.15-5(6).
