Executive Session: Mayor Flaggs moved the Mayor and Alderman go into a closed meeting to determine if the Board should go into executive session. The motion was seconded by Alderman Mayfield. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs and Alderman Mayfield. None voting nay, the motion was unanimously adopted. The Mayor and Alderman discussed whether or not they should go into executive session. Mayor Flaggs moved to go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for: Pay Adjustments - Ambulance (2), Pay Adjustment - Fire Department (1). The motion was seconded by Alderman Mayfield. Upon vote being taken, the following voted aye: Mayor Flaggs and Alderman Mayfield. The motion was adopted unanimously. The Mayor and Alderman announced they would go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for: Pay Adjustments - Ambulance (2), Pay Adjustment - Fire Department (1). The Mayor and Aldermen are now in executive session. Those present at the executive session were Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, Nancy Thomas - City Attorney, Walter W. ID-19-1416 Pay Adjustments - Ambulance Department (2) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Alderman voted to approve Pay Adjustments of a Firefighter/Ambulance III from $11.42 per hour to a Firefighter/Paremedic III at $13.81 per hour, effective November 20, 2019. Employee has received National Registry Paremedic certification and a Lieutenant I from $12.56 ($12.44 + .12) per hour to a Lieutenant Paramedic I at $15.08 ($14.96 + .12) per hour, effective November 20, 2019. This includes ten (10) years longevity pay of .12 cents in the Ambulance Department. ID-19-1417 Pay Adjustment - Fire Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Alderman voted to approve the Pay Adjustment of a Captain V+ from $16.86 ($16.61+.25 long.) per hour to $17.12 ($16.87+ .25 long.) per hour, effective November 20, 2019 in the Fire Department. Captain may receive one pay raise per year after completing fifth tier, with satisfactory evaluation and physical agility test (includes longevity of 20 years of .25 cents). The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 2- Mayor Flaggs, and Alderman Mayfield Absent: 1- Alderman Monsour Jr. C.
