The motion was seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, Alderman Monsour, Jr. None voting nay, the motion was unanimously adopted. The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether or not they should go into executive session. Alderman Mayfield moved to go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for: Suspension in the Police Department (1) and Suspension in the Ambulance Department (1). The motion was seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. Upon vote being taken, the following voted aye: Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, Alderman Monsour, Jr. The motion was adopted unanimously. The Mayor and Aldermen announced they would go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for: Suspension in the Police Department (1) and Suspension in the Ambulance Department (1). ID-20-1230 Suspension - Police Department (1) On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Suspension of an Investigator in the Police Department, effective December 8, 2020. Employee violated the COV's Driver's License Policy and the Arrest Policy. ID-20-1231 Suspension - Ambulance Department (1) On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Suspension of a Firefighter/Ambulance IV for one (1) shift (24 hours), effective December 14-15, 2020, in the Ambulance Department. Employee violated Vicksburg Fire Department Standard Operating Guideline 12.1.75 Attendance Policy for 24-Hour Shift Employees, 6 occurrences (December 5, 2020).
