ID-21-0116 Authorize Mayor to execute Agreement with NRoute for Transportation of Citizens to COVID-19 Vaccination Sites Attachments: vaccine transportation On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to authorize the Mayor to execute Agreement with NRoute for Transportation of Citizens to COVID-19 Vaccination Sites. ID-21-0117 Authorize Mayor to execute Contract Amendment No. 2 with Suncoast Infrastructure, Inc. for Continuing Sewer Assessment Program - Year 3 Repair requesting 56 additional days due to weather and COVID-19 Attachments: Amendment #2 CSAP Year 3 Repair On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to authorize the Mayor to execute Contract Amendment No. 2 with Suncoast Infrastructure, Inc. for Continuing Sewer Assessment Program - Year 3 Repair requesting 56 additional days due to weather and COVID-19. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Monsour Jr., Mayor Flaggs, and Alderman Mayfield Executive Session: Alderman Monsour, Jr. moved the Mayor and Aldermen go into a closed meeting to determine if the Board should go into executive session. The motion was seconded by Alderman Mayfield. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, Alderman Monsour, Jr. None voting nay, the motion was unanimously adopted. The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether or not they should go into executive session.Mayor Flaggs moved to go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for: Extended Medical Leave in the Right of Way Department (1); Pay Adjustment in the Police Department (1); Longevity Pay in the IT Department (1). The motion was seconded by Alderman Mayfield. Upon vote being taken, the following voted aye: Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, Alderman Monsour, Jr. The motion was adopted unanimously. City of Vicksburg Page 4 Printed on 3/10/2021 Board of Mayor and Aldermen Minutes - Final February 1, 2021 The Mayor and Aldermen announced they would go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for: Extended Medical Leave in the Right of Way Department (1); Pay Adjustment in the Police Department (1); Longevity Pay in the IT Department (1). The Mayor and Aldermen are now in executive session. Those present at the executive session were Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, Alderman Monsour, Jr., Nancy Thomas - City Attorney, Walter W. Osborne, Jr. - City Clerk, Fermika Smith - Interim Human Resource Director, Tasha W. Jordan - Deputy City Clerk, Sam Andrews - Mayor’s Administrative Assistant, Tabatha Martin Crawford - Compliance Officer. Aye: 3- Alderman Monsour Jr., Mayor Flaggs, and Alderman Mayfield A. ID-21-0119 Extended Medical Leave - Right of Way Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Extended Medical Leave of a Laborer in the Right of Way Department. Due to the exhaustion of employee Family Medical Leave (FMLA) which consisted of twelve (12) weeks, the Human Resource Department is requesting on his behalf that the Board of Mayor and Aldermen grant employee additional medical leave per the policy of the City of Vicksburg. The extension of time will cover the following dates, January 23, 2021, through February 23, 2021. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Monsour Jr., Mayor Flaggs, and Alderman Mayfield B. ID-21-0120 Pay Adjustment - Police Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustment of a Police Officer from $16.42 per hour to $16.62 ($16.42 + .20) per hour, effective February 14, 2021. Officer is entitled to an increase in the amount of .20 cent for three (3) years of service in the Police Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Monsour Jr., Mayor Flaggs, and Alderman Mayfield C. ID-21-0121 Longevity Pay - IT (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Longevity Pay of the IT Director from $34.67 ($34.41 + .26) per hour to $34.76 ($34.41 + .26 + .09) per hour, effective February 7, 2021. Employee is entitled to an additional .09 cent per hour for twenty (20) years of service. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Monsour Jr., Mayor Flaggs, and Alderman Mayfield D. ID-21-0189 Come Out of Executive Session and Approve All Items Taken Up in Executive Session On motion of Mayor Flaggs, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to Come Out of Executive Session and Approve All Items Taken Up in Executive Session. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Adjournment On motion of Mayor Flaggs, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., and unanimously passed, the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg adjourned to meet 10 o’clock a.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2021, to take up and act upon any and all matters that may come before the Board.
