The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. Recused: 1- Mayor Flaggs Mayor Flaggs returned to the Board Meeting. Mayor Pro-Tem Monsour, Jr., is now Alderman Monsour, Jr. Executive Session: Alderman Monsour, Jr. moved the Mayor and Aldermen go into a closed meeting to determine if the Board should go into executive session. The motion was seconded by Alderman Mayfield. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, Alderman Monsour, Jr. None voting nay, the motion was unanimously adopted. The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether or not they should go into executive session. Mayor Flaggs moved to go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for: Longevity Pay in the Administration Department (1); Longevity Pay in the Public Works Department (1); Pay Adjustments in the Fire Department (2); Pay Adjustment in the Ambulance Department (1); Suspension in the Gas Department (1); Discuss Litigation Matter. The motion was seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. Upon vote being taken, the following voted aye: Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, Alderman Monsour, Jr. The motion was adopted unanimously. The Mayor and Aldermen announced they would go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for: Longevity Pay in the Administration Department (1); Longevity Pay in the Public Works Department (1); Pay Adjustments in the Fire Department (2); Pay Adjustment in the Ambulance Department (1); Suspension in the Gas Department (1); Discuss Litigation Matter. ID-21-0410 Longevity Pay - Administration (1) On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Longevity Pay of an Administration Assistant from $16.20 ($16.11 + .09) per hour to $16.28 ($16.11 + .09 + .08) per hour, effective April 26, 2021 in the Administration Department. Employee is entitled to an additional increase of .08 cent for ten (10) years of service. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. B. ID-21-0411 Longevity Pay - Public Works Department (1) On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Longevity Pay of an GIS Coordinator from $27.18 per hour to $27.27 ($27.18 + .09) per hour, effective April 27, 2021 in the City of Vicksburg Page 7 Printed on 5/17/2021 Board of Mayor and Aldermen Minutes - Final April 23, 2021 Public Works Department. Employee is entitled to an additional increase of .09 cent per hour for five (5) years of service. Employee is no longer assigned to an ambulance (includes 5 years longevity pay of .06); a Firefighter/Ambulance III from $11.48 ($11.42 + .06) per hour to Firefighter III to $10.64 ($10.58 + .06) per hour, effective April 21, 2021 in the Fire Department. Employee is no longer assigned to an ambulance and includes .06 longevity pay of five (5) years. Employee has met all requirements of probation and is now assigned to an ambulance. Employee violated the City of Vicksburg's Arrest Policy. On Saturday, April 17, 2021, employee was arrested for discharging a firearm within the City limits.
