Mayor Flaggs stated that purchasing an advertisement from Malcolm Butler will
bring into favorable notice the opportunities, possibilities and resources of the

On motion of Alderman Monsour Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, Sr., and
unanimously passed, the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg approved
the purchase of a sponsorship ad from Malcolm Butler in the amount of $750.00
for the 7th Annual "Malcolm Butler Football Camp". The City is authorized
pursuant to Section 17-3-1 and Section 17-3-3 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as
amended.
D. ID-21-0508 Approve request from the Vicksburg Police Department for
pre-authorization to utilize funds to provide refreshments not to exceed
$50.00 for each of the following upcoming Training Seminars hosted by
VPD:

On motion of Mayor Pro-Tem Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, Sr.,
the Mayor Pro-Tem and Alderman voted to approve the Claims Docket
numbering: 2048 - 2049; 300376 - 300694. The motion was adopted unanimously
by the following vote:

Mayor Flaggs returned to the Board Meeting.
Mayor Pro-Tem Monsour, Jr., is now Alderman Monsour, Jr.
Executive Session:
Alderman Mayfield, Sr. moved the Mayor and Aldermen go into a closed meeting
to determine if the Board should go into executive session. The motion was
seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Alderman
Mayfield, Sr., Alderman Monsour, Jr. None voting nay, the motion was
unanimously adopted. The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether or not they
should go into executive session. Alderman Mayfield, Sr. moved to go into
executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for: Longevity Pay in the
Building Maintenance Department (1); Pay Adjustment in the Police Department
(2); Suspension in the Right of Way Department (1).
The motion was seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., upon vote being taken, the
following voting aye: Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, Sr., Alderman Monsour,
Jr. The motion was adopted unanimously.
The Mayor and Aldermen announced they would go into executive session to
discuss Personnel Action Forms for: Longevity Pay in the Building Maintenance
Department (1); Pay Adjustment in the Police Department (2); Suspension in the
Right of Way Department (1).

A. ID-21-0533 Longevity Pay - Building Maintenance (1)
On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, Sr., the
Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the .08 cent Longevity Pay of a Custodian
in the Building Maintenance Department from $10.68 ($10.59 + .09) per hour to
$10.76 ($10.59 + .09 + .08) per hour, effective May 31, 2021. Employee is entitled to
an increase of .08 cents for ten (10) years of service. The motion was adopted
unanimously by the following vote:

B. ID-21-0534 Pay Adjustments - Police Department (2)
On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, Sr., the
Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustments of a Lieutenant in
the Investigations Department from $29.91 ($29.74 + .17) per hour to $31.56 ($29.74
+ .17 + $1.65) per hour, effective May 19, 2021. Employee completed his
Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice on May 8, 2021; a Police Officer from
$17.63 ($16.88 + .75) per hour to $16.88 ($17.63 - .75) per hour, effective May 25,
2021. Officer is no longer serving as a Field Training Officer in the Police
Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

Company. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote:
