Mayor Flaggs, Jr., stated that purchasing an advertisement from Malcolm Butler
Football Camp will bring into favorable notice the opportunities, possibilities and
resources of the City of Vicksburg and will be helpful toward advancing the
moral, financial and other interest of the City of Vicksburg.
The Mayor and Alderman of the City of Vicksburg approved the purchase of a
sponsorship ad from Malcolm Butler Football Camp in the amount of $1,000.00 for
the 8th Annual Football Camp. The City is authorized pursuant to Section 17-3-1
and 17-3-3 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended.
F. ID-22-0697 Approve request from Clyde & Paula Curry to close the left side of Hutson

Executive Session:
Mayor Flaggs, Jr., moved the Mayor and Alderman go into a closed meeting to
determine if the Board should go into executive session. The motion was
seconded by Alderman Mayfield, Sr. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Jr., Alderman
Mayfield, Sr. None voting nay, the motion was unanimously adopted.
The Mayor and Alderman discussed whether or not they should go into executive

A. ID-22-0720 Pay Adjustment - Police Department (1)
On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, Sr., the Mayor
and Alderman voted to approve the Pay Adjustment of a Lieutenant on F-Watch
from $24.05 per hour to $24.25 ($24.05 + .20) per hour, effective July 2, 2022.
Officer is entitled to an additional .20 cents per hour increase for ten (10) years of
service in the Police Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the
following vote:

B. ID-22-0721 Termination - Police Department (1)
On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, Sr., the Mayor
and Alderman voted to approve the Termination of an Officer in the Police
Department. Officer failed to meet the standards set forth at the Mississippi Law
Enforcement Officers' Training Academy (MLEOTA). Officer was expelled from
MLEOTA Wednesday, June 22, 2022 due to her conduct and failure to follow
instructions. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

C. ID-22-0778 Come Out of Executive Session and Approve All Items Taken Up in
Executive Session
On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr. seconded by Alderman Mayfield, Sr. the Mayor
and Alderman voted to Come Out of Executive Session and Approve All Items
Taken Up in Executive Session. The motion was adopted unanimously by the
following vote:
