Mayor Flaggs, Jr. recognized Ronald Davis at the Vicksburg Municipal Airport
and Patrick Daughtry in the Recreation Department each with five (5) years of
service and Mary Galtney in the Recreation Department with twenty-five (25)
years of service.
The Mayor and Aldermen congratulated Ronald Davis, Patrick Daughtry and Mary
Galtney for their service with the City of Vicksburg.

for Miss Mississippi Sponsorship in the amount of $1,200.00 pursuant to
Section 17-3-1 and Section 17-3-3 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as

Mayor Flaggs, Jr. stated that purchasing an advertisement from Vicksburg Daily
News will bring into favorable notice the opportunities, possibilities and
resources of the City of Vicksburg and will be helpful toward advancing the
moral, financial and other interest of the City of Vicksburg.
The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg ratified the sales agreement
from Vicksburg Daily News in the amount of $1,200.00 for Miss Mississippi
Sponsorship. The City is authorized pursuant to Section 17-3-1 and Section 17-3-3
of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended.

to Section 25-3-41 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended

Ms. Stacey Mahoney, of the Southern Cultural Heritage Center, came before the
Board to inform the public of the upcoming events at the Southern Cultural
Heritage Center for the month of July 2022 and invited the public to attend.
The Mayor and Aldermen thanked Ms. Mahoney for attending the meeting.
B. ID-22-0758 Adopt Budget Amendments
On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to adopt the Budget Amendments for July 8, 2022. The
motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to authorize the Mayor to execute Safe Vicksburg
Camera-Crime Prevention Agreement with Project NOLA, a Louisiana nonprofit
corporation. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

Mayor Flaggs, Jr. moved the Mayor and Aldermen go into a closed meeting to
determine if the Board should go into executive session. The motion was
seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Jr., Alderman
Mayfield, Sr., Alderman Monsour, Jr. None voting nay, the motion was
unanimously adopted.
The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether they should go into executive
session. Mayor Flaggs, Jr. moved to go into executive session to discuss
Personnel Action Forms for: Pay Adjustments in the Police Department (2); Pay
Adjustment in the Water Department (1); Pay Adjustment in the Sewer
Department (1); Pay Adjustment in Animal Control (1); Longevity Pay at the
Airport (1); Longevity Pay in the Recreation Department (1).
The motion was seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. Upon vote being taken, the
following voted aye: Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, Alderman Monsour, Jr.
The motion was adopted unanimously.
The Mayor and Aldermen announced they would go into executive session to
discuss Personnel Action Forms for: Pay Adjustments in the Police Department
(2); Pay Adjustment in the Water Department (1); Pay Adjustment in the Sewer
Department (1); Pay Adjustment in Animal Control (1); Longevity Pay at the
Airport (1); Longevity Pay in the Recreation Department (1).
The Mayor and Aldermen are now in executive session.

all matters that may come before the Board.
