ID-22-1262 Approve request for sponsorship in the amount of $1,500.00 from the Vicksburg Warren Chapter of the Alcorn State University National Alumni Association in conjunction with Chris Smith Entertainment for the ASU Annual Homecoming Cigar Day Block Party on Friday, October 21, 2022 pursuant to Section 17-3-1 and Section 17-3-3 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended Attachments: ASU Vicksburg Warren Chapter Ad Mayor Flaggs, Jr., stated that purchasing an advertisement from Vicksburg Warren Chapter of the Alcorn State University National Alumni Association in conjunction with Chris Smith Entertainment will bring into favorable notice the opportunities, possibilities and resources of the City of Vicksburg and will be helpful toward advancing the moral, financial and other interest of the City of Vicksburg. The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg approved the purchase of a sponsorship ad from Vicksburg Warren Chapter of the Alcorn State University National Alumni Association in conjunction with Chris Smith Entertainment in the amount of $1,500.00 for the ASU Annual Homecoming Cigar Day Block Party on Friday, October 21, 2022. The City is authorized pursuant to Section 17-3-1 and Section 17-3-3 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended. ID-22-1263 Authorize Mayor to Execute Renewal of Airport Insurance with Cadence On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr. seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to authorize the Mayor to Execute the Renewal of Airport insurance with Cadence Insurance. ID-22-1254 Status Change - Police Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Status Change of an Investigator from $19.84 to a Part-Time Investigator at $25.00 per hour, effective October 17, 2022. Employee will transfer to a part-time investigator at a part-time rate of pay at the Police Department. ID-22-1255 Longevity Pay - Fire Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the $1.50 Longevity Pay of a Firefighter from $14.53 per hour to $16.03 per hour, effective October 22, 2022. Employee is entitled to a $1.50 per hour increase for twenty-five years of service at the Fire Department. ID-22-1256 Longevity Pay - Main Street (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the .50 cents Longevity Pay of a Main Street Director from $23.19 per hour to $23.69 per hour, effective October 22, 2022. Employee is entitled to a .50 cents per hour increase for fifteen (15) years of service at Main Street. ID-22-1257 Longevity Pay - City Clerk (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the .20 cents Longevity Pay of a Deputy Clerk from $13.82 per hour to $14.02 per hour, effective October 22, 2022. Employee is entitled to a .20 cents per hour increase for nine (9) years of service in the City Clerk Office. ID-22-1259 Pay Adjustment/Title Change - Recreation Department (2) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustment/Title Change of a Recreation Program Coordinator from $14.61($14.26+.35) per hour to an Assistant Youth Coordinator at $10.10 ($9.75+.35) per hour, effective October 19, 2022. Employee is moving into an Assistant Youth Coordinator position and pay will be reduced to $10.10 per hour; a Jackson Street Helper from $8.40 per hour to a Recreation Program Coordinator at $14.26 per hour, effective October 19, 2022. Employee is being promoted to Recreation Program Coordinator with new rate of pay of $14.26 in the Recreation Department.
