The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg approved the purchase of a sponsorship ad from Charity Lockridge, Miss Jones County 2023 in the amount of $350.00 for the Miss Mississippi Pageant. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. Executive Session: Mayor Flaggs, Jr. moved the Mayor and Aldermen go into a closed meeting to determine if the Board should go into executive session. The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether they should go into executive session. Mayor Flaggs, Jr. moved to go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for: Discretionary Leave - Water & Gas Administration (1): Pay Adjustment/Status Change - Police Department (1); Longevity Pay - IT Department (1); Longevity Pay - Street Department (1). The motion was seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. Upon vote being taken, the following voted aye: Mayor Flaggs, Jr., Alderman Mayfield, Sr., Alderman Monsour, Jr. The motion was adopted unanimously. The Mayor and Aldermen announced they would go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for: Discretionary Leave - Water & Gas Administration (1): Pay Adjustment/Status Change - Police Department (1); Longevity Pay - IT Department (1); Longevity Pay - Street Department (1). The Mayor and Aldermen are now in executive session. Those present at the executive session were Mayor Flaggs, Jr., Alderman Mayfield, Sr., Alderman Monsour, Jr., Kim Nailor - City Attorney, Walter W. Osborne, Jr. - City Clerk, Tasha W. ID-23-0242 Discretionary Leave - Water & Gas Administration (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Discretionary Leave of a Cashier for additional Family Medical Leave in the Water & Gas Administration. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. B. ID-23-0243 Pay Adjustment/Status Change - Police Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustment/Status Change from a Narcotics Officer at $20.97 per hour to a Part-time Investigator at $25.00 per hour. Officer submitted a letter dated February 15, 2023 resigning from his full-time position in Narcotics to work as a part-time Investigator. His last day to work full-time will be March 1, 2023 at the Police Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. C. ID-23-0244 Longevity Pay - IT (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the .20 cents Longevity Pay of a Computer Specialist from $25.00 per hour to $25.20 per hour, effective March 1, 2023. Employee is entitled to an additional .20 cents per hour increase for six (6) years of service in the IT Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. D. ID-23-0245 Longevity Pay - Street Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the $1.00 Longevity Pay of a Street Supervisor from $27.7948 per hour to $28.7948 per hour, effective March 5, 2023. Employee is entitled to an additional $1.00 per hour for twenty (20) years of service in the Street Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. E.
