The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether they should go into executive session. ID-23-0327 Pay Adjustment - Police Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustment of a Patrol Officer from $17.13 per hour to $17.33 ($17.13 + .20) per hour, effective March 25, 2023. Employee is entitled to an additional .20 cents pay increase for three (3) years of service in the Police Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. B. ID-23-0328 Longevity Pay - Fire Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the .10 cents Longevity Pay of a Firefighter from $11.58 per hour to $11.68 per hour, effective march 24, 2023. Employee is entitled to an additional .10 cents increase for two (2) years of service in the Fire Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. C. ID-23-0329 Suspension - Administration (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Suspension of an Executive Assistant for five (5) days with 60 day probation, effective March 20, 2023. Employee is in violation of the City of Vicksburg Policy and Procedures 4.1 (p,y,z) in Administration. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. D. ID-23-0330 Suspension Pending Termination - Ambulance Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Suspension Pending Termination of an EMT I, effective March 20, 2023. Employee is not performing duties and she is currently in her probation period in the Ambulance Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. E.
