for their annual walk. The City is authorized pursuant to Section 17-3-1 and
Section 17-3-3 of the Mississippi code of 1972, as amended.

through August 6, 2023. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following

Mayor Flaggs, Jr. moved the Mayor and Aldermen go into a closed meeting to
determine if the Board should go into executive session. The motion was
seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Jr., Alderman
Mayfield, Sr., Alderman Monsour, Jr. None voting nay, the motion was
unanimously adopted.
The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether they should go into executive
session. Mayor Flaggs, Jr. moved to go into executive session to discuss

Administration (1); Request for Extended Medical Leave - Court Services (1);
Status Change - Ambulance Department (1); Pay Adjustment - Police Department

The motion was seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. Upon vote being taken, the
following voted aye: Mayor Flaggs, Jr., Alderman Mayfield, Sr., Alderman
Monsour, Jr. The motion was adopted unanimously.

C. ID-23-1031 Status Change - Ambulance Department (1)
On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to approve the Status Change of a Part-time EMT from
$15.00 to a Full-time EMT at #11.14 per hour, effective August 23, 2023. Employee
is changing from part-time to full-time in the Ambulance Department. The motion
was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

D. ID-23-1032 Pay Adjustment - Police Department (1)
On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustment of a Patrolman from $19.10
per hour to $19.30 ($19.10+.20) per hour, effective August 25, 2023. Employee is
entitled to an additional .20 cents increase for two (2) years of service in the
Police Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

E. ID-23-1033 Transfer - Gas Department (1)
On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to approve the Transfer of a Street Equipment Operator from
$22.00 per hour to a Gas Equipment Operator at $22.00 per hour, effective August
23, 2023 in the Gas Department. Employee is transferring from the street
department to the gas department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the
following vote:

F. ID-23-1034 Longevity Pay - Ambulance Department (1)
On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to approve the Longevity Pay of a Firefighter/Ambulance
Driver from $14.63 per hour to $14.73 ($14.63+.10) per hour, effective August 22,
2023. Employee is entitled to a .10 cents increase for six (6) years of service in the
Ambulance Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following
vote:

G. ID-23-1035 Longevity Pay - Fire Department (1)
On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to approve the Longevity Pay of a Firefighter from $12.40
per hour to $12.50 ($12.40+.10) per hour, effective August 22, 2023. Employee is
entitled to an additional .10 cents increase for six (6) years of service in the Fire
Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to approve the Longevity Pay of a Booking Officer from
$11.02 per hour to $11.22 ($11.02+.20) per hour, effective August 24, 2023.
Employee is entitled to an additional .20 cents increase for one (1) year of service
in the Police Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following
vote:

I. ID-23-1037 Rescind Suspension - Fire Department (1)
On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to approve the Rescind Suspension of a Firefighter that was
approved on August 10, 2023 for two (2) shifts in the Fire Department. The motion
was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

J. ID-23-1023 Discuss Litigation Matter
A discussion was held.
