The Mayor and Alderman of the City of Vicksburg approved the purchase of a
sponsorship ad from the Vicksburg Post for the 2024 "A Salute To Our Frontline
Heroes and First Responders" Edition. The City is authorized pursuant to Section
17-3-1 and Section 17-3-3 of the Mississippi code of 1972, as amended.
F. ID-24-0301 Approve Sponsorship Application in the amount of $250.00 from Linda
Banchetti for the 2024 Lake Fest at Eagle Lake pursuant to Section 17-3-1
and Section 17-3-3 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended

Mayor Flaggs, Jr. moved the Mayor and Alderman go into a closed meeting to
determine if the Board should go into executive session. The motion was
seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Jr., Alderman
Monsour, Jr. None Voting nay, the motion was unanimously adopted.
The Mayor and Alderman discussed whether they should go into executive
session. Mayor Flaggs, Jr. moved to go into executive session to discuss
Personnel Action Forms for: Longevity Pay-Inspection Department (2); Longevity
Pay-Fire Department (1); Promotion/Pay Adjustment-Police Department (3);
Promotion/Pay Adjustment-Fire Department (4); Discretionary Leave-Street

The motion was seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. Upon vote being taken, the

A. ID-24-0310 Longevity Pay - Inspection Department (2)
On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor
and Alderman voted to approve the Longevity Pay of a Zoning Administrator from
$21.85 per hour to $22.05 (21.76 + .09+.20) per hour for nine (9) years of service,
effective March 28, 2024 and a Permit Technician from $10.50 per hour to $10.70
(10.50 + .20) per hour for one (1) year of service, effective March 22, 2024. Both
Employees are in the Inspection Department. The motion was adopted
unanimously by the following vote:

B. ID-24-0311 Longevity Pay - Fire Department (1)
On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor
and Alderman voted to approve the Longevity Pay of a Firefighter from $11.91
per hour to $112.01 (11.81 + .10 + .10) per hour for three (3) years of service in the
Fire Department, effective March 24, 2024. The motion was adopted unanimously
by the following vote:

C. ID-24-0312 Promotion/Pay Adjustment - Police Department (3)
On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor

Department, effective March 19, 2024-Sergeant/Narcotics at $23.52 per hour, to a
Lieutenant/Narcotics at $25.45 per hour; Investigator at $23.27 per hour, to a
Sergeant/Investigations at $27.17 per hour; Investigator at $19.98 per hour, to a

to a Captain Paramedic I at $17.71 per hour; Firefighter III at $11.81 per hour, to a
Lieutenant I at $13.32 per hour; Firefighter II at $11.33 per hour, to a Lieutenant I

and Alderman voted to approve the Termination of a Court Bailiff in the Police
Department, effective February 19, 2024. Employee is deceased. The motion was
adopted unanimously by the following vote:
