Roll Call Members Sharon Baum, Susan Stillman, Carey Sienicki were present with Theresa Bachmann presiding as chair. Michael Cheselka is absent. Also in attendance, representing town staff, were Andrea West, Town Planner and Jennifer Murphy, Clerk to the Board. Approval of the Minutes Review of meeting minutes were tabled. Request for a Certificate of Appropriateness for installation of rear enclosed screened porch and new exterior paint color, at the property located at 127 Lewis Street NW, Docket No. 04-19-WHBR, in the RS-12.5, single-family detached residential zoning district; filed by Cathy LeGore, Project Coordinator at Design Builders Inc., on behalf of Jason Levine and Tracy Schampers, property owners. Providing a summary of proposed work, staff representative Andrea West stated that they wish to convert from an existing deck to a screen porch. Since the project can be viewed from town right-of-way it requires Windover Heights Board of Review. Additionally, the owners would like to paint the home in Benjamin Moore navy also requiring review by the board. Homeowner, Jason Levine approached to speak. Mr. Levine would like to change the current color of the home, which is green, to Benjamin Moore Hail Navy. A color sample was passed around for review. Ms. Sienicki asked, with respect to the roof deck, if they would prefer to use plywood rather than OSB (Oriented Strand Board) as shown on the plan. Mr. Levine answered that the OSB material was recommended by their builder. Although the use of material would not limit Ms. Sienicki’s support of the application, she suggested the applicant further research the material. She stated that Plywood holds up much better to weather. She suggested that the railing connect flush with the house. It should be clarified with the builder as well. There being no further discussion a motion was in order. Ms. Sienicki made a motion that the request for a Certificate of Appropriateness for installation of a rear screened porch and exterior paint at property located at 127 Lewis Street NW (Docket No. 04-19-WHBR), in the RS-12.5, single-family detached residential zoning district be approved using Benjamin Moore’s Hail Navy. There being no further comment, Chairwoman Bachmann called the question.
