Call Meeting to Order - Record Attendance
Committee members: Jena Wilmers, Carla Hendon, Nick Erickson, Roxanne
Deschaine, Erin Gregones, Nicole DiDonato
Discussion Items
Approval of Previous Minutes: Motion J Wilmers, Second C Hendon
Other Business: Committee chair, Erin Nowak, has resigned due to other
commitments. N Erickson motioned to approve vice chair J Wilmers to the top
seat. Seconded by E Gregones.
Recap School Supply Drive:
School Supply Drive 2025 - Begin campaign after Memorial Day
Last day of school for Kenowa Hills is June 11
June 16 - launch date for supply drive
Rename it Walker School Supply Drive to be more inclusive
Keep the Amazon wishlist.
R Deschaine suggested another reading event at Double Dip Depot, as
first one was success.
N Erickson suggested having City sponsors also help get the word out.
N DiDonato to create media kit.
R Decshaine suggested utilizing the business license list from the Clerk's
Office to contact more people
Post recognition on website
Could City match donations?
Coordindator for Kent School Services Network (KSSN) suggested adding
haircuts for kids.
Loop in Empire Beauty School in Standale
Could Uccellos sponsor a donation night of 15% of meal goes to school?

Park Parties
Animal event - team with CSNIP, BISSELL or Humane Society of West Michigan
Water stations for dogs
Fire Chief’s Winter Adventure Challenge - keeping hydrants clear of snow
Passport program for local businesses
Chamber - Anna Bissell award - female CEO - March
Window Decorating Contest
Fields Fabric holiday event
12 Days of Christmas spinoff for adults
Kenowa Hills Education Foundation
Community Pub Crawl - ugly sweater - businesses have a punchcard
Community Garage Sale (everyone pays $20 to advertise) CEC could create a
guide
