Town of Wallburg, North Carolina Town Council Meeting - Wallburg Town Hall 8020 N. NC-Highway 109 Tuesday, January 10, 2017, 7:00pm 2ND TUESDAY OF THE MONTH MINUTES PROCEDURAL ITEMS CALL TO ORDER Mayor Allen Todd called the meeting to order at 7:00p.m. Present were the Mayor, Council Members, Steve Yokeley, Lynn Reece, Mark Swaim, Councilwoman Cindy Johnson and Mayor Pro Tem Zane Hedgecock. The Town’s Attorney, Jay Wagner was present. Donna Alwine, Town Clerk was present. After an invocation by Councilman Mark Swaim, Councilman Lynn Reece led the pledge allegiance to the flag. MOTION FOR APPROVAL OF AGENDA Mayor Pro Tem Zane Hedgecock moved to approve the agenda. Councilman Lynn Reece seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. MOTION FOR APPROVAL OF DRAFT MINUTES  December 13, 2016 - Regular Meeting Minutes MINUTES for the above meeting were unanimously approved on a motion by Councilman Lynn Reece, seconded by Councilwoman Cindy Johnson. PUBLIC SESSION There were no speakers BUSINESS TO BE DISCUSSED AND/OR ACTED UPON: 1. Councilman Mark Swaim gave an update on the Wall home repairs/renovation. Weather permitting next week the roofing company will be on site to replace the roof. In the future once the property is secured, an open house would be nice. There is a lot of community positive interest in the home. Looking to possibly form a community committee in the future. COMMITTEE UPDATES AS AVAILABLE (COMMITTEE UPDATES WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE IF MEETING WAS NOT HELD OR UNATTENDED) 1. Finance Update Mark Swaim gave a brief update on the finances of the Town from the balance sheet ending December 31, 2016. CASH $ 2,396,971.68 CAPITAL FUND $ 401,897.69 MONEY MARKET $ 248,885.51  TAXES RECEIVABLE $ 8,309.00 DUE FROM OTHER GOVTS. $ 125,390.00 TOTAL: $ 3,181,453.88 2. MPO – High Point There is no report – the High Point MPO did not meet. 3. MPO - Winston-Salem There is no report – No meeting for December, will meet again the middle of January 2017. OTHER INFORMATION: The elected official dinner is coming up on January 26, 2017. ADJOURNMENT: At 7:18P.M. Councilman Steve Yokeley moved to adjourn the meeting, Councilman Lynn Reece seconded.
