Village of Waterford Fire Commission
February 8 th, 2022 Minutes
Present: Janice Piper, Ken Thiede, Jennifer Denton, Bonnie Schauer, James Zuehlke
Also present: Chief Rick Mueller, Colleen Schauer, Assistant Chief Tom Nehring
Piper called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm.
Motion by Thiede to approve the 01-11-2022 Fire Commission Minutes. Second by Schauer.
All aye. Motion carried
New Business:
Motion to adjourn into closed session by Denton for the purposes of considering Fire & EMS
staff
hiring and other business at 5:01 pm, second by Schauer. All aye. Motion carried.
Roll call vote: Thiede - aye; Piper – aye, Schauer - aye. Denton – yes. Motion carried.
Piper motioned to reconvene into open session at 6:54 pm; second by Schauer. All aye. Motion
carried.
Chief Mueller indicated it is his intent to hire Kimber, Ace, Brandt, and Nisiewicz to full time
positions within the department. Thiede motioned to accept Chief Mueller’s intent to hire
Kimber full-time as a new employee as well as hire existing employees Ace, Brandt, and
Nisiewicz to full time positions within the department. Second by Schauer. All aye, Motion
carried.
Motion by Schauer to add Pattie to the eligibility list; second by Denton. All aye. Motioned
carried.
Chief Mueller indicated it is his intent to hire Pattie. Motion by Thiede to accept Chief’s intent to
hire Pattie part-time. Second by Piper. All aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Schauer to adjourn at 6:58 pm; second by Denton. Motion carried.
