VILLAGE OF WATERFORD Public Works & Utilities Committee Meeting Minutes 801 Ela Ave. – DPW Building February 20, 2023 Meeting was called to order by Chair Koeller at 4:00 pm. Present: Fred Koeller, Don Houston Carl Oberhart, Pat Goldammer Others present: Mike Sponholtz, Rick Huening, Zeke Jackson, Alysa Robbins Minutes: Motion by Oberhart to approve the 01.16.2023 minutes. Second by Goldammer. All aye. Motion carried. Reports: Streets and Utilities Supervisor Huening spoke on updates in the Department of Public Works. Parks and Facilities Supervisor Sponholtz gave updates on the Department of Parks and Facilities. New Business: 1- Motion by Oberhart to deny request of adding a camera and audio system to Village Hall. Second by Koeller. All aye. Motion carried. 2- Motion by Koeller to approve the removal of 5 silver maple trees in Ten Club Park as marked by Supervisor Sponholtz. Second by Oberhart. All aye. Motion carried. 3- Motion by Goldammer to apply for daily launch pass increase to maximum allowed amount and increase annual passes for Village Residents to $30 and non-village residents to $50. Second by Houston. All aye. Motion Carried. 4- Motion by Houston to approve contract for Fairview Pavement Maintenance Work Order with funds as approved by Village Board. Second by Koeller. All aye. Motion carried. 5- Discussion was had about the upcoming change in payment processing companies including the new and improved options becoming available. Further discussion was had about the possibility of implementing a counter service fee in the future after review of trends of use of the new system.
