Second by Goldammer. All aye. 11 Motion carried. 12 13 Reports: Streets and Utilities Supervisor Huening spoke on updates in the Department of Public Works. 14 15 Parks and Facilities Supervisor Sponholtz gave updates on the Department of Parks and Facilities. 16 17 New Business: 18 1- Discussed Turn arrows. No motion needed. 19 2- Motion by Houston to approve plan to remove the volleyball court and related electrical poles, 20 as well as, plating trees in Whitford Park by Supervisor Sponholtz. Second by Migazzi. All aye. 21 Motion carried. 22 3- Reviewed engineer plan for an additional cavalier pier at the boat launch. Managing various contractors, performing PM on the HVAC, controls, and fire protection systems. Snow removal and salting all facilities as required. -Restoration work from the December flood at Village Hall update-Elevator and Document restoration still pending. -Assisted in the April election preparations at the Village Hall -Continued work on the library HVAC upgrades and community room repairs. -Preparing for remodeling projects at the Whitford park Bathrooms, pavilion, Seidel building and ball field buildings. Parks -Starting construction this month on the 10 Club park project -Removing 15 trees, removing all the ice rink infrastructure in preparation for the upcoming construction at Ten Club Park -Continued work on the additional pier project at the boat launch as well as the docks project. -Working on planning summer events such as Food and Fun and first and assisting with other upcoming Village events as needed. -Preparing for the spring and summer growing season. -Making plans to plant 14 trees at whitford park, 11 along the Seidel building and replacing 3 dead trees at the playground area. -Preparing for the Whitford park driveway paving project. Mike Sponholtz  19 VILLAGE OF WATERFORD Engineer’s Report April 12, 2023 Danielson St. & Augusta Paving / Whitford Park Paving – Project No. 221301  The bid by Stark Pavement Corp ($674,320.15) was approved by the Village on 9/12/22.  The contractor has completed Danielson St.  Augusta is currently under construction followed by Whitford Park. Tetzlaf “The Armory Self Storage” Review – Project No. 222115  We received plans for a self-storage facility north of Gravity Ct in the Mercury Development.  The public water main extension plans and WDNR forms have not been submitted for review.  Review comments were forwarded to the Village and design engineer on 12/21/22. Well 6 – Intent to Apply (ITA)  An intent to apply (ITA) application has been submitted for low interest money through the WDNR; this ITA does not commit the Village to use the funding; it may simply allow them a lower interest rate and longer repayment terms if the project qualifies.  We checked on the status of the approvals; the WDNR plans to issue a list of approved projects before the end of March. The design and financial assistance application need to be submitted prior to June 30, 2023.  The Village is waiting for an acceptance of the funding prior to moving forward. Neumann Homes Development – Project No. 221632  Neumann Homes is interested in developing the area north of Trailside Elementary on the east and west sides of N. Milwaukee.  We are working with the developer’s engineer to provide water and sewer service to the property. Foat Self Storage Review – Project No. 221784  We received plans to add an additional storage building at 421 N. Milwaukee Street.  The project was conditionally approved on 2/1/23. Gemini Lots 7&10 CSM – Project No. 222271  ProHeath Care is interested in constructing a clinic on Cornerstone Court across from the lift station.  CSM and sale of lot approved on 3/13/23. Space Squared Self Storage Review – Project No. 220614  We received plans for a self-storage facility at the corner of STH 83 and Park Dr.  Review comments were forwarded to the Village and design engineer on 03/10/23. Ideal Process Review – Project No. 222586  We received plans for a building expansion project at Ideal Process on Ela Ave.  Draft review comments were completed on 12/14/22 and sent to the Village. Spanky’s Tavern Review – Project No. 230062  A new Spanky’s Tavern is proposed in the Mercury Business Park.  We are coordinating utility connection scenarios with the Village and architect. We have not received an engineering plan submittal. Update Roadway Improvements – Project No. 230314  We have sent the Village an updated 20-year pavement maintenance plan based on updated costs and roadway PASER ratings. Fairview Pavement Maintenance – Project No. 230098  We have begun work on this project and anticipate opening bids the end of May. Saturn 5 Self Storage – Project No. 230648  We have reviewed the Saturn 5 Self Storage project at the east end of 6 th Street in the Mercury Subdivision.  The project was conditionally approved on 4/10/23.
