Open Forum Jill Blair of 614 Castle Ridge Road, Watertown, MN. I am part of the Lions, and I am recently new to the R committee for Rails to Trails. I am wondering with all these social districts coming up, if that is something you think Watertown would look at or be interested in? City Administrator Dan Tolsma reported that Administrative Services Director Michael Sommerfeld has been doing research on it. It is a relatively new pilot program that the state is running with some cities to kind of D try these out. Jill also reported on the Bike Rodeo and said that they already have two bikes donated, one from the Red Devils and one from the City Council. With that, we have done the bike safety as part of Rails to Trails. In 2015 or 2016 the city purchased helmets for it. The cost of 24 helmets with tax, handling, shipping, everything, would come to $294.20. If we are doing a big safety program for the kids, it would be nice that if someone didn't have a helmet, that we could provide that for them. The age range will be kindergarten through fifth grade. 5. New/Old Business Mayor Walters introduced and welcomed new Public Services Superintendent Matt Van Lith. Good evening Mr. Mayor and council. I was born and raised in Delano. I started out my public works career here in Watertown from 2002 to 2007. I moved on to Hennepin County and gained a lot of experience, and recently I was working at the City of Shorewood, and now I am here. I am happy that I have the opportunity to be back at Watertown, close to home, and it has been good so far. 5.A. 5.A. - RFA - 2025 Bobcat T76 Public Services Lead Mike Loehrs presented on the 2024 Bobcat T76 and attachments for approval. The city council authorized quotes on May 27, 2025. COUNCILMEMBER WALTERS MOVED TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF THE BOBCAT T76 PLATINUM SKID STEER AND ATTACHMENTS FROM LANA EQUIPMENT FOR THE TOTAL PRICE OF $94,754.43. COUNCILMEMBER MCGUIRE SECONDED. MOTION CARRIED 4-0  COUNCILMEMBER WALTERS MOVED TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF THE BOBCAT T76 PLATINUM SKID STEER AND ATTACHMENTS FROM LANA EQUIPMENT FOR THE TOTAL PRICE OF $94,754.43. COUNCILMEMBER MCGUIRE SECONDED. MOTION CARRIED 4-0 5.B. 5.B. - RFA - Crow River Liquors Short Term Parking Request Tolsma presented the Crow River Liquors request for short term parking. COUNCILMEMBER WALTERS MOVED TO APPROVE THE TEMPORARY SIGN PERMIT REQUEST WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: T 1. The applicant is approved to display 10-minute parking signage for parking stalls 2 & 3 on the 100 block of Lewis Avenue for the dates of July 4th, 5th, & 6th. 2. The provided signage will be designed, fabricated, and owned by the City of Watertown. F 3. The signage must be removed from the sidewalk during non-business hours by the property owner.
