VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE BOARD OF REVIEW MEETING 500 West Main Street June 6, 2013 - 5:00 PM Meeting Minutes CALL TO ORDER Village Clerk Julee Helt called the 2013 Board of Review meeting to order at 5:06 p.m. ROLL CALL Present: Al Dassow, Kevin Laffey, David Kennedy, Dan Statz, Joe Zitzelsberger, Julee Helt, Tom Wilson Absent: Robert Freimuth Also Present: PJ Monson, Dean Peters Clerk Helt confirmed property notice of Board of Review had been given and presented the completed assessment roll to the members of the Board of Review. She also confirmed Mr. Zitzelsberger, Mr. Kennedy, and Mr. Wilson had received Board of Review training per statute. Dean Peters, Village Assessor, stated Open Book had concluded, all reports were filed with the Department of Revenue, and the Assessor's Affidavit had been signed. Motion by Al Dassow, second by Tom Wilson, to nominate Kevin Laffey as Chairperson. Motion Passed. For: 8, Against: 0. Motion by David Kennedy, second by Joe Zitzelsberger, to nominate Al Dassaw as Vice Chairperson. Motion Passed. For: 8, Against: 0. Dean Peters, Village Assessor, was sworn in by Clerk Helt for the duration of Board of Review. NEW BUSINESS 1. Objection for Real Property Assessment - Ronald G. Endres, 301 N. Century Avenue Ronald Endres was sworn in by Clerk Helt, who then recused herself from hearing and deliberation of this objection. Motion by Al Dassow, second by Kevin Laffey, to exercising its judgment and discretion, pursuant to Sec. 70.47(9)(a) of Wisconsin Statutues, the Board of Review by majority and roll call vote hereby determine the Assessor's valuation is correct for Ronald G. Endres, 301 N. Century Avenue, with a land value of $434,500, an improvement value of $396,700, for a total value of $831,200. Motion Passed. For: 7 - Al Dassow, Kevin Laffey, David Kennedy, Dan Statz, Joe Zitzelsberger, Tom Wilson, Robert Freimuth, Against: 0. 2. Objection for Real Property Assessment - Rodd Allen Ripp, 104 Water Street Mr. Ripp withdrew his objection from consideration. CORRESPONDENCE ADJOURN Motion by Tom Wilson, second by Joe Zitzelsberger, to adjourn the 2013 Board of Review until 8:30 a.m. on June 19, 2013. Motion Passed. For: 8, Against: 0.
