Village of Waunakee and Town of Westport Joint Plan Commission A meeting of the Waunakee/Westport Joint Plan Commission was held Tuesday, June, 2013, at the Kennedy Administration Building, 5387 Mary Lake Road, Waunakee, WI. CALL TO ORDER Mr. Sipsma called the meeting to order at 6:04 p.m. Members Present: Ken Sipsma, John Van Dinter, Dean Grosskopf, Pat McGowan, and Tom Liebe. Members Absent: Mark McGuire Also Present: Kevin Even, Tom Wilson, Tracy Meinholz, John & Kathleen Macken, Brenda & David Korb, Ed Freer, Joe Capaul, Atty. Joshua Kindkeppel, Mary Woodburn, Dick & Pat Teslaw, Rich & Kathy Trotta, Barb Junge, Robert Maksen, Jerry & Monica Paffenroth, Ed & Jan Niebuhr, John & Mary Binkley, Hamid & Charlene Khazae, Wade Harris, Ted Straus, Leah Hermanson, Martin Timmins, Frank Peregrine, Rev. Leonard Allen, Joe Cordovo, Kimberly Hughes, Joanne Koster, Mark & Mary Ripp, Bridget Ripp, Mark Trotter, Mary Manering, Dennis Tande, Kristin Miles, Peg Whiteside, Roberta Baumann, Kari Tordahl. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion McGowan, second Van Dinter, to approve the minutes from the April 9, 2013 meeting. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT None NEW BUSINESS & DISCUSSION / ACTION PUBLIC HEARING & DISCUSSION / ACTION ON KORB REZONE FROM A1-EX TO PUD (PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT) FOR THE PRUPOSE OF OPERATIONG A WINERY After a brief introduction by Mr. Sipsma, the Public Hearing was opened at 6:11 p.m. Mr. Freer gave a presentation on the proposed plan. Mr. Peregrine gave an overview of the business plan and answered questions from the commission members. The commission members then heard comments from the public both for and against the proposal. Some of the concerns were noise, traffic, and environmental impacts. Mr. Sipsma closed the public hearing at 7:53 p.m. Motion McGowan, second Van Dinter, to postpone action until the next meeting. Friendly amendment by Grosskopf to request an exhibit showing actual distances to the neighboring houses. Motion carried unanimously. JPC Meeting Minutes 11/15/2017 Page 1 of 2 DISCUSS & TAKE ACTION ON A CHRISTIAN LIFE ASSEMBLY SIGN AT 5744 CTH Q Mr. Wilson gave a brief explanation of the proposed sign. Commission members were concerned with the brightness, size and compatibility with the neighborhood. Motion Grosskopf, second Liebe, to refer this item to the Architectural Control Committee for review. Motion carried. INITIAL CONSULTATION FOR BUILDING ADDITION, YAHARA MATERIALS, 5279 STH 19 Applicant asked to be taken off the agenda. ADJOURN Motion Van Dinter, second Liebe, to adjourn the meeting at 8:22 p.m. Motion carried.
