VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING 500 West Main Street August 16, 2021 5:30 PM Meeting Minutes CALL TO ORDER Chairman Phil Willems called the meeting to order at 5:30 P.M. ROLL CALL Members present: Phil Willems, Nila Frye, and Renee Meinholz Also present: Todd Schmidt, Gabe Altenbernd, Steve Peotter, Liz Diehs Chris Zellner did not to attend due to a Conflict of Interest with the New Business agenda item "Consider banking bid proposals" as his employer submitted a proposal for consideration. CONSENT AGENDA Items under the consent agenda may be acted upon by one motion. If, in the judgment of any Board Member, a consent agenda item needs discussion, the item may be moved to later on the agenda for discussion and/or action. 1 Consider approval of minutes - July 19, 2021 Motion by Nila Frye to approve consent agenda (approval of minutes - July 19. 2021), seconded by Phil Willems. PUBLIC COMMENT None NEW BUSINESS 1 Consider banking bid proposals The Finance Director introduced the agenda items and briefly discussed the key elements of the proposals of the 4 banks that submitted proposals. Nila Frye and Phil Willems both had reviewed the proposals and a detailed summary provided by the Finance Director prior to the meeting. The Finance Director recommended selecting One Community Bank as they met all the criteria of the RFP and had the highest net interest earnings of any of the proposals. She checked references and received a demo of their online banking platform and is satisfied One Community Bank will meet the needs of the Village. It should be noted that Finance Committee member Chris Zellner did not participate at all in the review of the proposals as his current employer was one of the proposers. Some discussion ensued. Motion by Phil Willems to recommend to the Village Board to approve the banking services proposal from One Community Bank, seconded by Nila Frye. Motion Pass.
