VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE Parks and Recreation Committee May 7, 2014 The May 7, 2014 Parks and Recreation Committee meeting was called to order by chairman Chris Zellner at 5:45 pm. PRESENT: Chris Zellner, John Pomeranke, Mark Mathwig, Brian Malich, and Dave Jost. ALSO PRESENT: Brian Hauke, Mike Endres, Sue McDade - Community Services Director, Bill Frederick – Streets and Parks Supervisor, Jeff Skoug – Recreation Supervisor and Kyna North – Program Coordinator. MINUTES A motion by Mark Mathwig/Brian Malich to approve the minutes of the April 2, 2014 Park and Recreation Committee meetings was approved. PRESENTATIONS The committee thanked Brian Hauke for his 14 years of service on the Park and Recreation Committee. NEW BUSINESS 1. Consider Amplified Music Permit for Tierney Park – June 21, 2014 A motion by Mark Mathwig/John Pomeranke to approve the amplified music permit for Tom O’Rourke – Tierney Park on June 21, 2014 was approved. 2. Consider Amplified Music Permit for Village Park on June 28, 2014. A motion by Brian Malich/Mark Mathwig to approve the amplified music permit for Cassandra Campbell – Village Park on June 28, 2014 was approved. CORRESPONDENCE Staff shared news of a recent donation to the department from the Waunakee Rec League (WRL) baseball association as they close their books after serving the community for many years.
