VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE Parks and Recreation Committee August 3, 2016 The August 3, 2016 Parks and Recreation Committee meeting was called to order by Gary Herzberg at 5:45 pm. This was a joint meeting of the Westport and Waunakee Committees. PRESENT: Gary Herzberg, Chris Zellner, Phil Willems, John Pomeranke, Dave Jost and Brian Malich. ALSO PRESENT: Members of the Westport Park Committee, Andrew Bremmer – MSA Professional Services, Sue McDade - Community Services Director, Bill Frederick – Public Works/Parks Superintendent, Rick Moran – Public Works/Parks Forman, and Tom Wilson – Westport Administrator. JOINT MEETING BUSINESS 1. Waunakee and Westport Park Committees Meet Jointly to Discuss Updates to the Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan. Andrew Bremmer let the joint committees through a review of the work to date on the update to the Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan – primarily the goals, objectives and policies and programs section of the plan. He also reviewed the next steps in the process which will include a review of the project recommendation section of the plan and the Parkland Dedication/Fee in Lieu ordinances. VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE BUSINESS MINUTES The minutes were not approved. They will return to the agenda of the September 7 meeting. OLD BUSINESS 1. Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan – Discussion/Recommendations The committee discussed the goals, objective and policies/programs section of the plan. Several recommendations were shared that will be researched and discussed at a following meeting. ADJOURNMENT A motion by Phil Willems/Brian Malich to adjourn was approved.
