VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE
Parks and Recreation Committee
October 1, 2025
The meeting was called to order by Sue McDade at 5:30 p.m.
A motion by Erin Moran/Tim Luttrell to appoint Phil Willems as the
chairperson for the meeting was approved.
PRESENT: Sam Kaufmann, Tim Luttrell, John Pomeranke, Phil Willems, and Erin Moran.
STAFF PRESENT: Sue McDade – Community Services Director, Ryan Endres, Public
Works/Parks Superintendent; Jeff Karls – Public Works/Parks Crew Leader;
Jeff Skoug – Recreation Supervisor, Jared Heyn – Deputy Administrator.
ALSO PRESENT: Cody Esposito – Strand Associates; Nyla Frye – 404 E. Verleen Avenue; Terri
Teeter -1104 Winston Circle; Judy Hahn – 1211 Woodbridge; Sandra Ramsfield – 5
Arbor Court.
VIA ZOOM: Nathan Bemo – American Ramp Company
MINUTES:
A motion by John Pomeranke/Phill Willems to approve the minutes of
September 3, 2025, Park and Recreation Committee meeting, was approved.
PUBLIC COMMENT
There were no public comments on non-agenda items.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Lions Park Skate Park – Community Input Meeting
The team from American Ramp Company appeared via Zoom to share a
proposal for the renovation of the Lions Park Skate Park. Citizens attending the
meeting were encouraged to share their opinions and ideas relating to this
proposal. A QR Code link for a Design Feedback Survey was provided and will
also be shared via social media for further comment.
A final proposal for improvements will be presented at the November Park and
Recreation Committee meeting for final review and potential approval.

2. Consider Strand Task Order 25-06 for the Six-Mile Creek Path Conceptual
Design
Motion by Erin Moran/Sam Kaufmann to approve Strand Task Order No.
25-06 for the Six-mile Creek Path Conceptual Design and forward to the
Village Board for final approval.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion by Sam Kaufmann/Erin Moran to adjourn was approved. 5:54
p.m.)
