VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE PLAN COMMISSION MEETING 500 West Main Street August 8, 2022 5:30 PM Meeting Minutes CALL TO ORDER Mr. Zellner called the meeting to order at 5:32 p.m. ROLL CALL: Present: Chris Zellner, Gary Herzberg, Joe Zitzelsberger, Brian Wallace, Chris Thomas, Brian Malich, Kevin Phelps Absent: None Also Present: Tim Semmann, Tracy Meinholz, Bryan Kleinmaier, John Dooley, Konner Kearney, Maria Patt, Amy Fox MINUTES 1 July 11, 2022 Motion Herzberg, second Thomas, to approve the July 11, 2022, Plan Commission Minutes. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT John Dooley (2611 Dublin Way) and Amy Fox (2608 Dublin Way) spoke regarding the proposed 85-Unit residential development on Simon Crestway. NEW BUSINESS 1 Concept Plan for an 85-Unit Residential Townhome Style Development Located Along the East Side of Simon Crestway on Outlot 2, Woodland Crest Plat Brian Malich arrived at 5:41 p.m. After a brief introduction from staff and a presentation by Konner Kearney of Forward Development Group, Chair Zellner took comments from the Commission members and from the public. The consensus was that the applicant was moving in the right direction compared to where the first proposal began, but more attention should be given to how the density and building massing could better transition to the neighboring single-family homes, especially in the area north of the Dolan cul de sac. No action taken. WAUNAKEE/WESTPORT JOINT PLAN COMMISSION UPDATE Staff gave a brief report on the items being discussed at the August 9, 2022 JPC meeting.
