VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE A regular meeting of the Public Works Committee was held Tuesday, June 23, 2015, 6:00 p.m., at Waunakee Village Center 333 S. Madison Street, Waunakee, WI CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Springman, called the meeting to order at 6:04 p.m. Present: Sue Springman, John Laubmeier, Brian Wallace, Paul Endres, Nila Frye. Absent: Gary Herzberg, Randy Bolger Also present: Kevin Even, Bill Frederick, Jim Madden, Tracy Meinholz, Rick Moran. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion Herzberg, second Wallace, to approve the March 31, 2015 minutes. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT: Mr. Even updated the members on the public informational meeting held for the residents of Southbridge regarding removal of the terrace ash trees as part of the EAB management plan. NEW BUSINESS DISCUSSION/ACTION Discussion / Action on Sidewalk at 205-209 S. Holiday Drive Motion Wallace, second Laubmeier, to remove the existing sidewalk and replace with turf as long as the neighbors don’t object, with the understanding that the Village may require that the sidewalk be re-installed if deemed necessary in the future. Motion carried 5-0. Discussion / Action on Snow Removal at Fire Station Bill Frederick informed the committee members that the verbal agreement for snow removal with the neighboring property will no longer be honored. The Village will only plow and remove snow from the fire station parking lot. The property owner has been notified.
