VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE PUBLIC WORKS MEETING 500 West Main Street July 26, 2022 5:30 PM Meeting Minutes CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Frye, called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. ROLL CALL: Present: Nila Frye, Sam Kaufmann, Brian Wallace, Brian Huibregtse, Ron Plumer. Absent: Erin Moran, Mark Snider. Also Present: Bill Frederick, Aaron Jahncke, Ryan Endres, Kent Straus, Cody Esposito. MINUTES 1 April 26, 2022 Motion Kaufmann, second Wallace, to approve the April 26, 2022, minutes. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT No one from the public wished to speak. The Committee members welcomed the newest member, Ron Plumer. NEW BUSINESS 1 Discussion & Recommendation on Grant of Privilege in Street Agreement for Octopi to Install Fiber Optic Within the Right-of Way between 1130 & 1131 Uniek Street Sam Kaufmann recused himself due to a conflict of interest. The applicant wishes to install fiber optic below Uniek Street between the existing building at 1131 Uniek Street and the new building at 1130 Uniek Street. The Village has worked with the applicant’s attorney to draft the agreement. The Village Attorney has reviewed an recommended approval also. Motion Plumer, second Huibregtse to recommend approval of the Grant of Privilege in Street agreement to the Village Board. Motion carried 4-0-1. 2 Discussion of Draft 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan  Staff handed out updated information based on a recent meeting with School District. The School District is planning a project on South Street in 2024 which will push back the Fish and Third Street projects by one year. This is a first look at the capital improvement budget for 2023-2027 and staff answered questions from Committee members. This is not an action item at this time. 3 2022 Public Works Improvements Update Staff gave a status update on current projects.
