Village of Waunakee and Town of Westport Joint Plan Commission A meeting of the Waunakee/Westport Joint Plan Commission was held Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at the Kennedy Administration Building, 5387 Mary Lake Road, Waunakee, WI. CALL TO ORDER Mr. Sipsma called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m. Members Present: Ken Sipsma, John Van Dinter, Dean Grosskopf, Pat McGowan, and Tom Liebe. Members Absent: Mark McGuire Also Present: Kevin Even, Tom Wilson, Tracy Meinholz, John Laubmeier, Martin Timmins, Eladio Rodriquez, Nayudel Ortega, Brad Robinson, Roger Wolter, Gordon Meffert, Bill & Deb Glenn, Dave Moll, Don Tierney, Michael Lawton. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion Van Dinter, second McGowan, to approve the minutes from the June 11, 2013 meeting. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT None NEW BUSINESS & DISCUSSION / ACTION DISCUSSION / ACTION ON KORB REZONE FROM A1-EX TO PUD (PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT) FOR THE PURPOSE OF OPERATING A WINERY BUSINESS AT THE CORNER OF RIVER ROAD AND CHEROKEE VALLEY PASS Mr. Sipsma referenced correspondence from the applicant, received earlier that day, asking to withdraw the application. There was no discussion / action. JPC Meeting Minutes 11/15/2017 Page 1 of 2  INITIAL CONSULTATION, REZONE (B-1 DEED RESTRICTED TO VILLAGE O-2 WITH A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT), JUNGLE DAY CARE CENTER AND PRESCHOOL-BILINGUAL, 5935 CTH K (WOLTER PROPERTY) The applicants and property owner were present to answer questions. The Commission directed the applicants to work with staff to apply for the rezone. No action necessary at this time. INITIAL CONSULTATION, REZONE (BUSINESS USE TO MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL, 24- 48 UNITS), PRESSENTIN, FORMER WHITE HOUSE PROPERTY ON CTH M Applicant was unable to attend. Item will be added to the next agenda. INITIAL CONSULTATION ON A PROPOSED INDOOR SPORTS COMPLEX ON MEFFERT PROPERTY ON HOGAN ROAD. Bill & Deb Glenn presented a proposal to develop up to 15 acres of the Meffert property as a120,000 square foot indoor WI Regional Athletic Complex with the possibility of additional outdoor fields as the project progresses. Commission members were amenable to the idea but stated they would like input from the Village Plan Commission as well. Staff directed to put item on the next Village Plan Commission meeting. No action necessary at this time. DISCUSSION / ACTION ON PEACEFUL VALLEY PARKWAY STATUS AND REQUEST FOR TIME EXTENSION A condition of approval for the Dean Clinic site was that the parkway be complete before they took occupancy. The clinic is scheduled to open on August 26th but the parkway has had some setbacks and will not be complete by then. Don Tierney requested an extension so that the clinic may open on time. Motion Van Dinter, second Liebe, to remove the condition of occupancy for Dean Clinic but the parkway must be complete by October 8, 2013. Motion carried unanimously. DISCUSSION / ACTION ON TEMPROARY SIGNAGE RULES IN JPA/ETZ Mr. Wilson explained that when the ETZ zoning rules were adopted for this area, the signage rules were omitted. Staff directed to work on incorporating county signage rules into the code. ADJOURN Motion Grosskopf, second Van Dinter, to adjourn the meeting at 6:54 p.m. Motion carried.
