VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE BOARD MEETING 500 West Main Street December 1, 2014 - 6:00 PM Meeting Minutes CALL TO ORDER The December 1, 2014 Village Board meeting was called to order by President John Laubmeier at 6:00 p.m. ROLL CALL Present: Phil Willems, Gary Walden, Chris Zellner, Gary Herzberg (arrived at 6:02 p.m.), Steve Kraus, John Laubmeier Absent: Sue Springman Also Present: Julee Helt, Todd Schmidt, Kevin Even, Bill Frederick, Caitlin Stene, Roberta Baumann CONSENT AGENDA Items under the consent agenda may be acted upon by one motion. If, in the judgment of any Board Member, a consent agenda item needs discussion, the item may be moved to later on the agenda for discussion and/or action. Motion by Steve Kraus, second by Gary Walden, to approve the Consent Agenda including all of the items listed below. Motion Passed. For: 5, Against: 0, Absent: 2. Gary Herzberg arrived at 6:02 p.m. 1. Approve Routine Bills Motion to approve check numbers and the totals on the invoice approval listing. 2. Approve Non-Routine Bills Motion to approve check numbers and totals on the invoice listing. PUBLIC COMMENT There was no comment from the public. NEW BUSINESS 1. Discuss and Approve Hiring Above Market Rate (Grade 3) for Position of Mechanic Motion by Steve Kraus, second by Chris Zellner, to authorize the offer of employment to the preferred mechanic candidate at Step 8 of grade H12 ($27.66 per hour) and starting annual vacation accrual of 120 hours.
