CALL TO ORDER
The March 20, 2017 Village Board meeting was called to order by Village Clerk Julee Helt at
6:02 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present: Phil Willems, Sue Springman, Gary Herzberg, Steve Kraus, Sam Ballweg
Absent: Chris Zellner, Bill Ranum
Also Present: Roberta Baumann, Julee Helt, Todd Schmidt, Kevin Even, Adam Bentley, Kent
Straus, Paul Cadarella
Motion by Steve Kraus, second by Sue Springman, to nominate Gary Herzberg as Temporary
Chair.
Motion Passed. For: 5, Against: 0, Absent: 2.
CONSENT AGENDA
Items under the consent agenda may be acted upon by one motion. If, in the judgment of any
Board Member, a consent agenda item needs discussion, the item may be moved to later on the
agenda for discussion and/or action.
Motion by Steve Kraus, second by Phil Willems, to approve the Consent Agenda including all
of the items listed below.
Motion Passed. For: 7, Against: 0.
1. Approve March 6, 2017 Village Board Minutes
Motion to approve March 6, 2017 Village Board minutes.
2. Approve Schedule of Bills
Motion to approve check numbers ranging from 74577 through 74597 totaling $115,474.34 and
from 74653 through 74674 totaling $57,525.42.
3. Approve Tourism/Community Betterment Grant Funding from Waunakee
Tourism Commission
Motion to award tourism and community betterment grant funding as recommended by the
Waunakee Tourism Commission.
PUBLIC COMMENT
Congratulations were offered to the Waunakee High School boys basketball team and the
Wisconsin Badgers basketball team.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Discuss and Take Action on Bids for 2017 Century Avenue Reconstruction
Project
Motion by Sue Springman, second by Steve Kraus, to approve the low bid for 2017 Century
Avenue Reconstruction Project from RG Huston for $1,995,351.49.
Motion Passed. For: 5, Against: 0, Absent: 2.
2. Discuss and Take Action on Ehlers Contract Providing Services to Comply with
New TIF Reporting Requirements
Motion by Steve Kraus, second by Sue Springman, to approve the Ehlers Contract Providing
Services to Comply with New TIF Reporting Requirements.
Motion Passed. For: 5, Against: 0, Absent: 2.
