Second Street, Waunakee, Wisconsin, from R-3D, Residential to C-1D, Downtown Commercial ADJOURN *As permitted by the Wisconsin open meetings law, the Village Board has chosen to list a public comment period on Board meeting agendas to afford an opportunity for valued public comments. This is specifically listed on the agenda as PUBLIC COMMENT, during which citizens may share comments with the Board on items that do not appear on the agenda. The Village Board may not engage in back-and-forth discussion or take formal action during this period, as the subject items are not specifically listed. The Board may consider deferring the subject to a later meeting when specific notice can be given. Note: In general, Wisconsin law grants citizens the right to attend and observe open session meetings of the Village Board, but does not require allowing the public to speak or actively participate. The Village Board may determine if citizen participation will be allowed and to what extent. State statute and/or Village Code requires the Village Board to hold public hearings on certain specified matters where the public can comment on the particular subject. The meeting chairperson will identify rules for providing comments. Other items on the agenda which are not listed for public hearing do not require the Board to allow public comment, however the meeting chairperson can at his/her own discretion allow limited public comments. Anyone is welcome to contact Village Staff with questions on agenda items before or after meetings. A staff directory is available at www.waunakee.com/directory. Village Hall can be reached at (608)850-8500. The entire Village Board may be contacted by sending an email to officialcorrespondence@waunakee.com. Any person who has a qualifying disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act that requires the meeting or materials at the meeting to be in an accessible location or format should contact the municipal clerk at (608) 850-8500, 500 West Main Street, Waunakee, Wisconsin, at least twenty-four hours prior to the commencement of the meeting so that any necessary arrangements can be made to accommodate each request.
