September 25, 2023
The Regular Monthly Meeting of the Waunakee Area Fire District was called to order by Chairman Jim Pulvermacher.
Roll call showed in attendance: Jim Pulvermacher, Nila Frye , John Cuccia, Robert McPherson, Chief Gary Hansen, Deputy
Chief Ryan Schwab, Capt. Josh M cWilliams, Lt. Ryan Endres , Lt. James Anderson, Lt. Mike Meier, and Renee M einholz .
Absent: Batt. Chief Brian Adler
Compliance with Open Meeting Laws: The Chairperson asked if we were compliant with Open Meeting Laws, and it was
determined that we were.
Public Comm ent : None
Meeting Minutes: A motion was made by John Cuccia and a second wasmade by Nila Frye to approve the August 2023
Meeting Minutes. Motion carried.
Bills: A motion was made by Gary Endres and a second was made by Nila Frye to approve the August 2023 bills as
presented. Motion carried.
Old Business:
A. Squad 5 - A. Chief Hansen informed the Board that the committee has agreed on a spec. and is awaiting pricing.
B. Car 2 - The board was notified that the Chevy Tahoe (Car 2) is in service and has already answered calls.
C. Budget-Chief Hansen presented the department' s 2024 budget. A motion was made by Robert McPherson to
send the budget to the municipalities and a second was made by Nila Frye. Motion carried.
D. WFD Organizational Review and Future Needs Analysis-The board discussed some amendments to the RFP.
Robert McPherson will provide all District Board members with anupdated copy.
New Business:
A. Discuss and Act on District's Full-Time Employee's Review & Compensation
The Fire District Board may convene in closed session as authorized by Wisconsin Statute 19.BS(l)(c)
for the purpose of considering employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation
data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility.
The Fire District Board may reconvene in open session and discuss and act on the subject matter
discussed in closed session. Battalion Chief/ Inspe ctor Adler was absent. Tabled.
Other Business: None
Fire Inspector's Report: Batt alion Chief/Inspector Adler was absent.

Next Meeting: October 30, 2023 @ 6:30pm, at the Waunakee Fire Station.
Adjournment : A motion to adjourn was made by Chairperson Pulvermacher and a second was made by Gary Endres.
Motion carried.
