Waunakee Public Library Library Board Meeting Friday, Sept 19 2025 - 7:45AM 201 N. Madison Street, Conference Room I. Call to order: Cathy Sheffield called to order II. Consent agenda Annie moved, Melissa seconded. Passed. A. Approve August 22, 2025 Library Board Minutes B. Approve Schedule of Bills C. Approve Financial Reports V. Library Director's Report Sunday hours returned. Erick gave update on retiring and incoming employees. Erick discussing opportunities to collaborate with the Village more closely as roles are reposted. Ho-Chunk Nation exhibit will debut in October. New website live with minimal feedback; page views are up over last year. Summer reading program very busy and successful; exploring new programs and patron expectations for 2026. VI. Old Business VII. New Business A. Friends of the Library Update a. No update A. Discussion of Room Rental activity and goals a. Andrea Brandt, special events coordinator, gave update. Discussion on room maintenance and room usage. Looking for opportunities to bring in more corporate clients for meetings. Private parties can be challenging for setup, staffing and cleaning, especially with multiple parties on the same weekend. Discussion on use of space by nonprofits and opportunities to improve operations. Future discussion needed on what success looks like. B. Discussion and approval of revised Community Hall Usage Policy a. Cathy moved to approve. Leah seconds. Passes C. Approve replacement patron furniture purchases of up to $12,000 using 220 a.
