MINUTES FROM THE CITY OF WAUTOMA MEETING OF THE REGULAR COMMON COUNCIL MONDAY, FEBRUARY 14th, 2022 7:30 p.m. Alderperson King called the regular meeting of the City of Wautoma Common Council to order at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, February 14th, 2022. Present: Alderpersons Pat King, Steve Ryerson, Bob Cayer, Eric Tratar and Ryan Petersen Excused: Mayor Nixon and Alderperson Grimm Prayer and Pledge took place. Alderperson Tratar moved to approve the minutes from the Regular Common Council meeting held on January 10th, 2022, and Finance and Personnel committee held on January 10th, 2022 with a clerical correction cited by Alderperson King. The motion was seconded by Alderperson Cayer and carried 5-0. Mr. Bohler presented both the General Fund Budget Comparison and bank account report. Alderperson Ryerson motioned to approve the agenda which was seconded by Alderperson Petersen and carried 5-0. Erin Flynn of 301 E. Chicago Road requested additional dogs at her residence. Alderperson Ryerson motioned to approve two additional dogs at the location. The motion was seconded by Alderperson Tratar and carried 5-0. Alderperson Petersen motioned to approve an Operator’s License for Angela Shepard (Dollar General) and Kaylee Laschiava (Dollar General). Alderperson Tratar seconded the motion which was carried 5-0. Mr. Bohler presented his report to the council. Chief Paul Mott presented his report to the council. Mayor Nixon was excused for his report to the council. Administrator Tommy Bohler and Chief Paul Mott swore in Officer Crowley for position of Patrol Officer Alderperson Tratar moved to approve the payment of monthly vouchers. The motion was seconded by Alderperson Petersen and carried 5-0. Hannah Klusmeyer gave her annual report on the Wautoma Library Alderperson Tratar motioned to approve design and construction engineering services contract with MSA Professional Services for 16th Avenue. The motion was seconded by Alderperson Ryerson and carried 5-0 Alderperson Tratar motioned to adjourn, which was seconded by Alderperson Petersen and carried 5-0. Erin Flynn on request for additional dogs at 301 E. Chicago Road 8. License Applications: a. Operator’s Licenses for Angela Shepard (Dollar General) and Kaylee Laschiava (Dollar General) 9. Ordinances/Resolutions/Proclamations: a. None 10. Administrator/Clerk/Treasurer’s Correspondence a. Went door to door on Waupaca Street for CDBG income surveys b. Making calls for remaining CDBG surveys c. Attending weekly meetings with Alliant and related parties regarding Wautoma’s solar panel project at the Wautoma Airport d. Sent letter of support to the Public Service Commission regarding the Alliant solar panel project e. Completed quarterly retirement, unemployment and IRS reports f. Completed annual Wisconsin Retirement System report g. Gave annual State of the City report to Wautoma Rotary h. Finalized and notarized approved development agreement with Plaza View apartments 11. Police Department’s Monthly Report 12. Mayor’s Report to Council 13. Committee Reports: Finance and Personnel a. Discussion and appropriate action regarding the payment of the monthly vouchers. Review of the end of the month vouchers that were paid. Library Board a. None 14. Old Business: a. None 15. New Business: a. Discussion and appropriate action regarding approval for Erin Flynn to have two additional dogs at 301 E. Chicago Road 16.
