The board unanimously approved, Kevin Sombart as Board Chairperson. Dale Curtis explained that the COP unit in North Webster was formed as a result of citizen requests to have more police presence in the area. Traffic disparity rate questions regarding the AG report were answered by Dale Curtis including an explanation of the department search policy, use of the LPR (license plate reader), and traffic enforcement on the highway being funded by grants. Kevin S. asked questions regarding platoon staffing and Dale Curtis explained that platoons work 12-hour rotating shifts but Patrol Officers maintain the same patrol area to encourage building relationships in the community. General discussion was had regarding Social Media and the perceptions of the Webster Groves Police Department.
